MFT Meets Scor-Pal

Hi everyone! Today My Favorite Things is joining forces with Scor-Pal in one big hop-around-the-block event.  You can find a master list of all participants from both companies HERE on the MFT blog.

A while back I had seen a box on one of the Scor-Pal designers’ blogs which was used to package K-cups.  That of course drew me in right away.  But instead of K-cups, I used my box for hot chocolate mixes and marshmallows to go along with MFT’s Hot Cocoa Cutie à la modes.

I used my Scor-Pal (one of my “must-have” faves) and THESE instructions.  You’ll need to scroll down just a bit to get to the box directions.  (I found so many fun templates/projects while browsing.  I wanted to do something more “involved,” but with all of the recent “rotating” illnesses here, I had to choose something fairly quick and easy.)

After creating my box, I covered the front and sides with patterns from October Afternoon’s Farmhouse collection.  I pieced the mug and girl’s tights, and used MFT’s Scallop Ribbon Die-namics (cut in half) to form the scalloped border around the window.

1/8″ Scor-Tape was used to adhere the acetate to the inside lid window.

Before adhering the sentiment strip, I “warped” the center and end to create a wavy “banner-ish” strip.

I created another “pieced” girl for  my card, using one of MFT’s Mini Tabs for the sentiment and additional (halved) strips of Scallop Ribbon along the top and bottom of the striped panel.

Inside, I used another sentiment from the Cocoa Cutie set and added some swirls in the lower right corner from Sassy & Sweet.

Be sure to visit the MFT blog for the complete list of participants from both companies.  I can’t wait to see all the projects!  🙂

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!
