MFT Previews, Day 7 – Just a Phone Call Away

Today is the final day of previews with My Favorite Things.  Tonight at 10 p.m. EST all the new stamps and dies you’ve seen previewed over the last week will be available to YOU!

My card today uses our new Ring Me Stamp and Die-namics set.

I had SO much fun creating my phone.  Pretty much every piece is raised on foam boosters, including the tiny black “finger stopper” piece on the dial.  (How’s that for a technical term?)

Instead of using the cord stamp that comes along with the set, I decided to create my own more realistic one.

I used a piece of my husband’s 14-gauge coated wire, cutting off more than I thought I would need (about 20 inches).

I wrapped the wire tightly around a bamboo skewer.  (I keep one in my stamp room with my pencils.  It has come in handy more times than I can say.)

Once I had wrapped the entire length, I removed the skewer and slightly stretched out the coils.  I clipped it to the desired length then secured each end to the back of the receiver and base.  (I used liquid glue and tape.)  I love how it turned out.  🙂

On the inside, I stamped a sentiment from the set along with some black flourishes from Finishing Flourishes.

Aren’t those FUN sentiments?  You *need* this set.  Just sayin’…
