Just a Note to Say…It’s sketch time!

It’s Wednesday and that means it’s time for another fun sketch with My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club!

This week I’ve used one of our latest releases from the Pure Innocence line, Violin Girl.

My girl is stamped on X-Press It Blending Card, colored with Copics and paper-pieced.  The flowers were die-cut using Fringed Perennial Die-namics (minus the fringe).  And the flourishes were cut using Fancy Flourish Die-namics.    I wanted to cut them from the turquoise-ish “patterned paper” but I didn’t have enough.

So instead, I die-cute from cream cardstock, leaving the die-cut in the paper.

I then colored with a coordinating Copic.  (It doesn’t have to be neat.)

And then removed the piece from the cardstock.  You may have done this before, but the thought had never occurred to me so I thought I’d share… just in case it’s helpful to someone.  🙂

On the inside, I added my “little note” (as indicated on the front).  The “love you” is from Pure Innocence Flower Girl.

You can find direct links to DT samples HERE on the MFT blog.  The info is also posted in the MFT Forum in SCS.  (Look for the most recent WSC thread numbered 59.)   And remember, if you upload your card to the SCS gallery using the keyword shown on the sketch, you will have the chance to win up to $20 in MFT money!  One winner is chosen at random each week.

Thanks for visiting!  Have a great day!  🙂
