MFT Previews, Day 5 – Under the Weather?

We’re moving right along with March previews with My Favorite Things!

Today the team is previewing our new à la modes!  I always love these, and this month is no exception.  Today we have It’s Getting Deep and The Rainbow Will Come.

Isn’t she adorable? I love her big umbrella.  🙂  The sentiments I’ve used (inside and out) are from the new Umbrella Stamp and Die-namics set.  The two sets paired together are a great match!

Along the bottom, I placed a strip of Simply Scallops Die-namics.  Note:  When I add border strips to the bottom (or sides) of my cards, I only place the adhesive along the top edges.  Then I run my fingernail beneath the scallops to slightly lift them away from the base cardstock.  It adds just a bit of dimension without adding a “crease” to create the lift.

After piecing the umbrella and boots, I added lots of shadow with gray Copics.  The boots are also covered with clear glaze.

On the inside, I stamped the silhouette and a second sentiment from Umbrella.
