MFT Previews, Day 3 – I Owe You BIG Time

It’s Day 3 of April previews with My Favorite Things!

Today we’re previewing Clearly Sentimental about Anniversaries and Big Greetings.

I’ve used Big Greetings along with Circle STAX, Fishtail Flags STAX and Royal Leaves Die-namics.  (I’ll show you in a minute an easy way to mat the fishtails.) The layout is an older Mojo Monday sketch (#214).

Here’s a closer peek at the Royal Leaves.  I love the embossing.  (This is with one pass through my Cuttlebug.)

I used one more matted Fishtail Flag on the inside along with a sentiment from Thanks a Bunch.

Here’s how I VERY easily matted my Fishtail Flags.

I wanted to use the die on the right.  As you can see, there’s a bit of a difference between the various sizes.  A little too much (for me) if I’d like to mat my flag.

So I die-cut two pieces, one from the patterned paper and one of the mat I wanted to use.

Using the “embossed” edges as a guide, remove the left and right sides of the patterned flag.

Layer and determine the desired length.  There is no need to trim or change the fishtail ends of the flags.  By removing a bit from each side of the top piece, you retain the perfectly cut flagged ends.
