Taylored Expressions Previews, Day 1!

Hi everyone! Welcome to Day 1 of Taylored Expressions May Sneak Peeks! I’m so excited to have been invited to play along with the Baker’s Dozen for May and June!  It’s an absolute honor to stamp along with such an incredibly talented group of ladies!  🙂

May Release At a Glance

  • We have sneak peeks to share Monday through Wednesday.  All of the new products will be available for purchase on Thursday, May 3rd at 8 am PST. You’ll find it all in the Fresh out of the Oven Department at the Taylored Expressions Store.
  • Join us as a fan on Facebook for an early peek at the stamp sets, as well as a SPECIAL Facebook GIVEAWAY, on Wednesday night beginning at approximately 6 pm PST.
  • Mystery Baker’s Dozen Blog Giveaway:  Each day, one lucky blog commenter will be chosen by random draw to win a $10 TE Gift Certificate.  Winners will be chosen from a different Baker’s Dozen blog each day and will be announced on Taylor’s blog on Release Day!  Be sure to hop around to see all the sneak peeks and leave comments on each and every blog for more chances to win. Limit one comment per blog per day, please.  Comments for the drawings close Wednesday 5/2 at 7pm PST.

My card for today uses All Aboard illustrated by Doug Applegate for the Apple Doodle Ink line at Taylored Expressions.

This set is absolutely adorable!   With 20 images and a wide variety of sentiments, there are so many fun scene-building possibilities to fit many different occasions!

After stamping and coloring my image with Copics, I adhered strips of Train Track Border beneath the train and sentiment.  I added brads in the train wheels and popped up my little engineer on foam tape.

Papers are from this month’s new Project Pantry Kit which features the Loyal collection from Authentique.  Love these!  How convenient to have patterned papers along with matching cardstock and more all in one collection!  (Spice it Up coordinating products will be available as well.  So easy!)  🙂

I quickly finished the inside of my card using a second image and sentiment from the set as well as another strip of Train Track Border.

Be sure to check out what the Baker’s Dozen have created today!

Thanks so much for visiting!  I’ll be back tomorrow with another TE preview!  (So excited!  *squeal*)  🙂

MFT Previews, Day 6 – Pure Innocence

We’re moving on to Day 5 of previews with My Favorite Things!  Today is Pure Innocence Day and we have five adorable new sets as well as a PI All Occasion Sentiment set which consists of many of the basic sentiments we use so often…in the PI font, of course.  🙂

My first sample today uses Goldfish Girl.    I pieced her pants and shirt, coloring the rest with Copics.  I used Oval STAX for the main image, Scallop Edge beneath the plaid panel and Pretty Posies Die-namics for the flower.

On the inside, I used a second sentiment from the set and the Scallop Edge again at the base of the plaid panel.

Here I’ve used Baseball Boy, Oval STAX, Fishtail Flag STAX and Simply Scallops Die-namics.  I colored with Copics, dirtying the baseball boy’s knees.  I used a 0.25 black Copic multi-liner to doodle the border around the oval.  It just seemed like a lot of white space and the border helped to fill/add definition.

I stamped a second sentiment from the set on the inside as well as a partial silhouette of the image.
