Robot Fun

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend!  We have so many plans over the next several days…one of which is preparing for a “teen boy” birthday sleepover.  I can hardly believe I’ll have a 13-year old.  Seems like just a few years ago I was carrying his colicky self round and round my house trying to quiet him.  🙂

At any rate, I thought I’d pop in here while I have a bit of down time.

I found this adorable Robot stamp set and bright paper at Michaels.  (In case you’re wondering, those candies are Gushers.  I was crossing my fingers one didn’t gush all over my white drape.  Ick.)

Isn’t he cute?  🙂   While coloring with my much-loved Copics, I was careful to leave bits of white to show as highlights.  I especially like this technique on eyes and buttons.  They look rather shiny, don’t they?

I used a second robot from the set to create a gift tag.  Since this little guy had his “arms” in the air, I chose to insert colorful brads as if he’s juggling.  The ribbon, originally white, was dyed using a B39 marker.

Have a great rest of the weekend!  Thanks for visiting today!  🙂
