Hi everyone!  It’s time for another great sketch with My Favorite Things!

My niece’s birthday is just around the corner so I thought I’d take this opportunity to create a card for her.

I chose Birthday Girl from the Pure Innocence line.  After coloring her with Copics, I pieced her dress and added some grass with colored pencils.  I used Circle STAX to create the two circle panels and the flowers were created using Pretty Posies Die-namics.  The Kraft buttons were stitched to the centers using Hemp Cord. The birthday message was stamped onto a Sentiment Strip then tucked behind the image panel.

On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from the set and added a silhouette of the girl stamped using soon-to-be released Sno Cone ink.

Welcome to Day 1 of January previews with My Favorite Things!  Today we’re sharing samples using Lisa Johnson’s Homespun Hearts and Hearts & Stitches.

Here I’ve used Homespun Hearts stamp set along with Rustic Hearts and Layered Heart Border Die-namics.

I stamped the leaves and stems using Jellybean Green ink, then layered the patterned hearts atop die-cut Red Hot cardstock hearts.  Every other heart is raised on foam tape.

I cut the Layered Heart Border from both Kraft cardstock and orange (patterned) paper so I could fill the centers of the hearts with the orange.

I stamped a second sentiment from the set on the inside with new Kraft ink, and used the small hearts from the Kraft die-cut strip on the front of the card to decorate the bottom of the inside.
