It’s time to get sketchy with My Favorite Things!
This week I’ve used The Rainbow Will Come from the à la modes line. The image was stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copics.
The sentiment is from WTG Puddle Jumper (which contains many perfectly coordinating sentiments).
I used Oval STAX1 and Oval STAX 2 to die-cut the image panel from Red Hot cardstock, Fishtail Flags and Fishtail Flags Layers for my sentiment and Pretty Posies to create the surrounding flowers.
After paper-piecing the umbrella, I added shadows using gray Copics, and in the center of each flower, I stitched Red Hot buttons using Hemp Cord.
On the inside, I added two more slanted strips to coordinate with the front layout, and stamped a line of XOXO’s from Pure Innocence All Occasion Sentiments using new MFT Black Licorice ink.
I pretty much followed this week’s sketch, only flipping the sentiment flag to the opposite side of the oval. 🙂
