Deepest Sympathy

I have always loved flower silhouettes and was so happy to get this set, Insightful Meadows, from Unity.  I’ve had the set for quite a while but if you’re like me, you buy a set with every intention of using it right away.  Then you get busy and you plan to use it soon.  Before we know it, time has slipped away and the poor, lonely stamp set is still waiting.  Patiently.  In the “Unused” basket.  I finally pulled this one out.  :)

I first stamped the flowers using Amuse Navy ink on X-Press It Blending Card then stamped a second time without reinking to create the lighter impression.

The sentiment, from Unity’s Just Wanted to Say, was also stamped in Navy ink.

Once the stamping was complete, I used my Copic Airbrush System with B21 and B39 Copics to airbrush in the background.

Quick, easy and pretty (I think).  :)

Thanks for stopping by today!  I’ll be back soon.

Stamps:  Unity Insightful Meadows and Just Wanted to Say  Ink: AMuse Navy  Paper: MFT Nightshift Blue, X-Press It Blending Card  Accessories:  Copic markers (B21 and B39) and ABS, ribbon, string, brads.

Your card is really, really pretty. I love this style, too, as well as the two step sets. I follow every blog post from you via my email and I so enjoy what you create. I don’t always comment, but one of my resolutions is to do better complimenting beautiful work/art….like what you create.

    Have a great day!

  2. I love the soft look that your card gives — especially for a sympathy card. It give you a soothing feeling. The blues are so pretty and the ribbon is a perfect accessory. I often forget to do the stamping off to create that look – but you have now reminded me to try it again. I too follow your blog via email – love your style.
