You Make the World a Better Place

It’s Wednesday and you know what that means…sketch time with My Favorite Things!  🙂  We have a great sketch this week.  I followed it to a T, only laying it on its side.

I used Being Cute is What I Do along with a sentiment from Vertical Greetings. Die-namics used include Fishtail Flags, Fishtail Flags Layers and Layered Heart Border. I used fun, bright My Mind’s Eye paper, which coordinates perfectly with MFT’s Razzle Berry cardstock.  The “You” in the sentiment was stamped using Razzle Berry ink.

After stamping the girl onto X-Press It Blending Card, I colored her with Copics, cut her out and adhered her over the patterned panel.

A sentiment and a Razzle Berry girl quickly finish the inside.

<—Here’s the sketch if you’d like to play along. You can find direct links to more samples HERE.  And remember, if you upload your card to the SCS gallery using the keyword MFTWSC109, you will have the chance to win up to $20 in MFT money!  One winner is chosen at random each week.  More info can be found in the MFT Forum in SCS.

MFT Previews, Day 2 – Happy Birthday Overdue

Hi everyone!  It’s Day 2 of February previews with My Favorite Things!  Today we’re sharing samples using Laina Lamb’s new sets:  Document It-Right This Way and Journal It-Library Card.  Of course there are new coordinating Die-namics as well:  Insert It-3×4 Pocket and 3×4 Notebook Paper.

Using Journal It – Library Card along with the new 3×4 Pocket and Notebook Paper, I’ve created a belated birthday card.  I just know I’ll eventually miss a birthday so I’ve left the due date column blank with the intention of later jotting in the recipient’s birth date.  I’ve used “Time Flies” from Laina’s Days and Dates set, and on the Notebook Paper die-cut I’ve used the lined paper stamp from Journal It -Top Ten.

On the inside, I’ve adhered a second die-cut of Notebook paper and stamped a sentiment from First Class Friend stamp set in Kraft ink.
