Howdy! MFT February Previews, Day 3!

We’re moving right along this week onto Day 3 of previews with My Favorite Things! Today we’re showcasing samples using You Make My Day, Inspired by the Wild Wild West and Western Sentiments, this month’s Triple Scoop, free to you with a qualifying purchase of $60 or more (before tax and shipping).

I have two cards to share, one feminine, one masculine. Ladies first.  🙂

Here, I’ve used Inspired by the Wild Wild West.  The boots were stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card then colored with Copics.  I used Oval STAX 1 and 2 to cut around and mat the image.  The little Howdy sentiment is framed in a tab from Laina’s Accent It-Labels & Tabs.  I die-cut two star Country Charms, one from Steel Grey cardstock, one from dotted paper.  I cut out the dotted star by simply following the embossed lines from the die-cut.

On the inside, I used the barbed wire border from Lisa Johnson’s Howdy stamp set.

On this card I used an image from Inspired by the Wild Wild West and a sentiment from Western Sentiments.

Since I stamped the silhouette and sentiment both in brown ink, I used a darker brown marker to add  defining lines to the letters of the sentiment.

On the inside, I stamped a sentiment from Clearly Sentimental about Birthdays as well as a few Finishing Flourishes.
