MFT February Previews, Day 5-à la modes

Hi everyone!  Today the My Favorite Things team is sharing samples using two new à la modes sets — Cowgirl at Heart and Cowboy at Heart.

I chose to use Cowgirl at Heart.  After stamping, I die-cut the sentiment using Fishtail Flags and Fishtail Flags Layers.  Along the top and bottom edges of the pink dotted panel, I used strips of new Barbed Wire Fence Die-namics.

After stamping onto X-Press It Blending Card, I colored with Copics and added ground using colored pencils.  Of the hundreds of different brads I own, I had none I liked with this image and paper so I made my own, of sorts.  I punched two 1/4″ circles from the woodgrain patterned paper and two from tablet backing.  I glued each patterned circle to a cardboard circle then added some marker-dyed string beneath each before adhering to the image panel.

I finished the inside simply with another little strip of Barbed Wire Fence, a silhouette of the image and a sentiment from Cowboy at Heart.
