It’s Doodle Garden Preview Day with My Favorite Things!  This month we have two new sets:  Fluttering By and Party Time.

Today I used Fluttering By.  🙂

I stamped and colored onto X-Press It Blending Card, pieced the dress, added some simple pleats (easy tutorial here) and grass.

I used a partial Sentiment Strip for the sentiment and the largest (4 x 5 1/4) rectangle from new Blueprints 1 to cut the large heart panel.

Once assembled and stitched, I adhered a Kraft button using Hemp Cord and secured the patterned panel to the card front using foam tape.

On the inside, I stamped the remainder of the sentiment and stamped a silhouette in Kraft ink.

She’s so cute!  🙂

Hi everyone!  Today the My Favorite Things team is sharing samples using Inspired by Front Porch-Spring and à la modes Big Birthday Numbers.  I know of two special birthdays coming up (one being my daughter’s) so I took this opportunity to work with Big Birthday Numbers.

First, I created a card for a very special 21st birthday. I combined the numbers with à la modes Big Birthday Wishes.

The girl was stamped and colored onto X-Press It Blending Card then cut out and adhered using foam tape.  I used Red Hot cardstock as well as Red Hot grosgrain ribbon.

On the inside, I stamped a silhouette and sentiment from Big Birthday Numbers in Black Licorice ink.

Next I created a “busy” card for my “busy” girl.  I can’t believe she’s going to be 11 already.  Time moves way too quickly.

Along with Big Birthday Numbers, I used Blueprints 1, Pretty Posies Die-namics, Razzle Berry cardstock and buttons and Hemp Cord.

On the inside, I stamped a sentiment from Big Birthday Numbers and added a shortened strip of Party Banner Die-namics.

Hi everyone!  I’m back for Day 3 of March previews with My Favorite Things!  Today we’re sharing samples using Lollipop Additions-Birthday, Western Sentiments and Birthday Sentiments, this month’s Triple Scoop, free to you with a qualifying purchase of $60 or more (before tax and shipping).

Because I never seem to have enough birthday cards on hand, I chose to use Birthday Sentiments.  🙂

Hi everyone.  🙂  It’s sketch time with My Favorite Things.

This week I stuck 100% to the sketch, simply flipping it onto it’s side.  I used super-cute Pure Innocence Giraffe Girl, Circle STAX 1 and 2, Fishtail Flags, Fishtail Flags Layers and Nightshift Blue cardstock.

After coloring with Copics on X-Press It Blending Card, I cut out the girl and adhered her to the card front using foam tape.

On the inside I stamped a second sentiment and silhouette using Black Licorice ink.  The sentiment is from Pure Innocence Because You’re Special.

Hi everyone!  It’s Day 2 of March previews with My Favorite Things!  Today we’re sharing samples using Laina Lamb’s new sets:  Document It-Rock On and Journal It-Play List.  There are new coordinating Die-namics as well:  Accent It-Rock and Roll and Accent It-Cassette Tape.

The Accent It-Cassette Tape die-cut was the perfect size for creating a holder for one of the smaller iTunes gift cards.   After die-cutting from Steel Grey cardstock, I laid the gift card on the back of the die-cut then applied foam tape to the left, right and bottom sides to create the perfect fit. I used Journal It-Play List and Pink Lemonade ink to stamp the label onto Sweet Tooth cardstock.

The hand symbol, from Document It-Rock On, was stamped onto Sweet Tooth cardstock using Black Licorice ink.

The pull tab on the back of the gift card was die-cut using one of the tabs from new Blueprints 1.  Here’s a look at the gift card when pushed all the way into the pocket.

On the inside, I used Pink Lemonade ink to stamp ‘Rock Star’ from Document It-Rock On.

Hi everyone!  It’s time to begin sharing My Favorite Things‘ March previews! Today we are showcasing Lisa Johnson’s beautiful new set, Pretty Poppies. (There are also coordinating Poppies and Leaves and Poppy Builder Die-namicssets but I didn’t use either…today.)  🙂

I feel as though I’ve “gone back to my roots” in creating this card.  When I first started stamping,  I *loved* flower silhouettes and distressing.  I think I’ve missed it.

Here, I created a background using the script stamp and Kraft ink on Whip Cream heavyweight cardstock.  The flowers were stamped in gorgeous new Electric Red ink with the stems and flowers added in Kraft.  Base cardstock is Kraft with the image panel layered atop Electric Red.

After stamping, I added some tiny brown Amuse pearls to the flower centers.

The Happy Birthday sentiment was clear embossed and finished off with an Electric Red button and Hemp Cord.

On the inside, I added a couple more poppies and used another sentiment from the set.  (I love the font combo.  Definately a favorite!)
