Hi everyone. 🙂 Welcome to Day 2 of the My Favorite Things April New Product Tour! All of the new products will be available tonight, April 9, at 10 PM EST right HERE. For my cards today, I used new Doodle Garden Sweet as Can Bee.
On my first card, I created a faux embossed background using Orange Fizz cardstock and the smallest of the three Open Hexagon Borders.
After stamping my cute bee with Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-Press It Blending Card, I colored with Copics (pointillism tutorial here, coloring hair tutorial here) then cut her out and adhered over the assembled background. I did not apply adhesive to her ponytails or wings so they are free to bend away from the paper just a bit.
I die-cut the smaller of the two Say What? speech bubbles from Sweet Tooth cardstock and stamped the sentiment using Black Licorice ink.
Along the bottom I placed a Gumdrop Green strip of Fresh Cut Grass tied with hemp cord and scattered several small Lemon Drop flowers cut using the tiny flower from Notched Tag Die-namics.
On the inside, I used Black Licorice ink to stamp a sentiment from Doodle Garden Sweet Friend and new Orange Fizz ink to stamp one of the new Mod Borders.
On my second card, I again stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copics. I used the smallest of the three Open Simply Scallops Trio along the left edge and stitch-embossed tabs from Blueprints 2 for the sentiment (white embossed).
The Hot Fudge button was stitched over the tabs using hemp cord.
On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment in Black Licorice and the silhouette in new Hot Fudge ink.
