Hi everyone! I’m back for Day 2 of August previews with My Favorite Things! Today my sample uses a gorgeous new set by Lisa Johnson, Splendid Sunflower, along with Plaid Builder. I also used Blueprints 6 and Splendid Sunflower Die-namics.
To create the flower, I used Lemon Drop, Hot Fudge and Gumdrop Green inks on Smooth White card stock. I used Lemon Drop and Gumdrop Green to create the plaid panel with the scalloped border and sentiment panel die-cut using Blueprints 6. The sentiment, from Sweet Roses, was stamped in Hot Fudge ink.
To add dimension, I cut an extra sunflower shape, layering the stamped flower over the unstamped flower, sandwiching foam tape between the two. I also used a clear glaze pen to add small dimensional/shiny bumps in the center.
Inside, I stamped a second flower, a second sentiment from Sweet Roses and added a scrap of the plaid.
