MFT August New Product Tour

Hi everyone!  Welcome to My Favorite Things‘ August New Product Tour! Tonight I’m sharing four cards using new Pure Innocence sets – Kitty Costume, Pirate Boy and Pretty Pumpkin.

All images were stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers.

First, I created a fun birthday card using Pure Innocence Kitty Costume and Party Balloons Die-namics.  The patterns were created with Spring Backgrounds and Darling Dots using Black Licorice and Electric Red ink on Kraft card stock.

Inside, I stamped another border and silhouette of the image.

Next is a somewhat simple Halloween card, again using Kitty Costume.  The text border was created using Trick or Sweet (exclusive to MFT) with Black Licorice ink on Orange Fizz card stock.   The pretty scalloped border is from Blueprints 6. I used an orange Copic to add color to the white on the ribbon, and the cat’s tail is popped up on foam tape.

I had a strip of the text leftover from the front so I added that to the inside along with a second scalloped border.

Next, I used Pure Innocence Pretty Pumpkin with new Brick Red cardstock.  To create the strips beneath the image, I used Washi Patterns with Washi Tape Die-namics, Fuse Green and Brick Red ink and Fuse Green and Smooth White card stock.  The sentiment was stamped in Sweet Tooth ink and white embossed for a bolder appearance. The tiny heart on the girl’s dress was die-cut using Fluttering Hearts Die-namics.

After stamping and coloring my image, the panel was die-cut using the smaller rectangular shape from Blueprints 6.

Inside, I included additional washi strips and a silhouette stamped in Brick Red ink.

Lastly, I created another birthday card, this time using Pure Innocence Pirate Boy.   I stamped the image, masked it, die-cut the smaller rectangular shape from Blueprints 6 (from a larger piece of masking paper), removed the rectangle and applied the frame over the masked pirate.  I then airbrushed within the rectangular opening, removed the masks and colored the image.  (Clear as mud?)

Image and sentiment were matted onto new Olive card stock.  The small skull was stamped onto the Brick Red card stock using Brick Red ink, and a Brick Red button was stitched to the sentiment strip using Hemp Cord.

The inside silhouette was stamped in Brick Red ink with the sentiment stamped in Black Licorice.
