August Creative Challenge – Let’s Get Fuzzy

Hi everyone!  It’s time for this month’s Creative Challenge with My Favorite Things!   The MFT Design Team Creative Challenge is a monthly feature where we are challenged to explore our creative side using a specific theme, product, or technique.  This month we are getting fuzzy with MFT felt.  I’ve created two clean and simple cards using bits and pieces of felt.

My first card uses the smallest heart in Heart STAX Die-namics along with LJD Cheerful Blessings stamp set.

The hearts were cut from Red Hot, Orange Fizz, Banana Split, Sour Apple, Sno Cone and Cotton Candy felt.  I applied a dot of glue to the bottom point of each heart to hold the felt in place, then used a thicker thread to stitch the string of them to Sweet Tooth card stock.  The sentiment was stamped in Black Licorice ink.

Inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Cheerful Blessings with two hearts stamped in Pink Lemonade ink.

My second card uses Botanical Beauty Die-namics with the flower cut from Banana Split felt.  The center was die-cut from Black Licorice card stock with a Black Licorice button stitched to the center.

Along the top and bottom of the sentiment strip, I placed a Scallop Ribbon strip, cut in half (one for each side).

Inside, I placed another strip of Scallop Ribbon along the bottom and stamped a sentiment from LJD Pretty Poppies in Black Licorice ink.

Be sure to check out the MFT blog for more fuzzy inspiration!

Thanks for visiting today!  🙂
