MFT Previews, Day 2 – Do all you can

Hi everyone! I’m back for Day 2 of September previews with My Favorite Things!

Today my sample uses a gorgeous new set from Mona Pendleton Designs, Winged Beauties.  I used new coordinating Winged Beauties Die-namics and embossed the background with new Mini Chicken Wire Die-namics.  Base is Black Licorice with Grapesicle.

After stamping two large butterflies and one small onto Smooth White card stock using Black Licorice ink, I die-cut each using Winged Beauties Die-namics, colored in parts with a V93 Copic marker then traced over the black with a clear glaze pen.   I layered the two larger butterflies, adhering only the center of the top one so that I could slightly bend up each wing.  The smaller butterfly is adhered only along the center as well.  I used Worn Label Greetings Die-namics for the sentiment panel.

Tip:  To create an easy mat for your sentiment label, lay the label face down on your darker cardstock.  Trace around the edges with a pencil then use scissors to cut along the pencil line.  Quick and easy. 🙂

I matted a Smooth White card stock panel to the inside and stamped two smaller butterflies, coloring as on the front.
