MFT October Previews – Day 5, Ho Ho Ho

Hi everyone! Today the My Favorite Things team is back with a fifth day of previews.  My sample, inspired by a card I saw in a Paper Crafts magazine, was created using Lisa Johnson’s new Grand Holiday Greetings and elements found in new Blueprints 8.

I began with a base of Kraft card stock.  I used Black Licorice ink to stamp the sentiment onto the patterned paper, then cut the rectangles accordingly.  Once all pieces were adhered, I stitched around the edges.

To create the “ornaments” and tree topper, I cut Real Wood Thick Cherry paper using elements from Blueprints 8.  The larger pieces were stitched to the panel with Hemp Cord while the smaller pieces were attached using small pieces of foam tape.

Inside, I stamped a sentiment from new Holiday Subway Art by Laina Lamb, adhered a couple of leftover pieces of patterned paper and second wood (paper) heart.

Don’t forget to check out the MFT blog for direct links to more samples, details regarding our October 8 release and info on teaser PRIZES.

Thanks for visiting!  See you tomorrow!  🙂
