Celebrate Your Special Day

Hi everyone.  🙂   Yesterday was my husband’s birthday.  I thought I’d share the card I made for him.  He’s a collector of trains so my first thought was to use MFT‘s Inspired by Travel.

The train and sentiment (from Birthday Greetings) were both stamped onto Primitive Cream card stock (which I also used as the card base).  The train was stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics, and the sentiment was stamped in MFT’s Black Licorice ink.

I covered the card front with “plain-ish” patterned paper and raised the entire image panel (from the “patterned” paper up) on X-Press It Foam Tape.

After stamping and coloring, both cream panels were die-cut using Pierced Rectangle STAX.  The longer horizontal strip was die-cut using an element from Blueprints 1.

Inside, I stamped a sentiment from Big Greetings, leaving plenty of room for birthday wishes.  🙂

Thanks for stopping by today!

Additional supplies not listed above:  Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Basic Grey Hipster (6×6), Copic markers (E40, E41, E42, E43, E44, W00, W1), Recollections mini-brads, X-Press It Foam Tape.  Finished size 5″ x 5″.
