MFT December Previews – Damask Designs

Hi everyone! Welcome back to a second day of December previews with My Favorite Things.  Today I have two samples using Mona Pendleton’s new Damask Designs.

First, I created a pattern using the damask border stamp with Black Licorice ink on Smooth White cardstock.  The sentiment is from Lisa’s new Grand Peaceful Wildflowers and the Hybrid Camellia Flower was die-cut and assembled using Electric Red card stock.

Inside, I adhered a leftover strip of the damask pattern, leaving plenty of room for a handwritten note.

Next, I created a more subtle pattern using one of the larger damask designs along with new Natural ink on Smooth White card stock.  The sentiment, from new Get Well Wishes, was stamped onto a Polka Dot Greetings label and matted onto Natural card stock.  An E43 Copic marker was used to color the white adhesive pearls.  (Works like a charm!)  🙂

I used another sentiment from Get Well Wishes inside the card, adding a little flourish from Damask Designs to each side.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I’ll be back tomorrow!

Additional products used:  Michaels adhesive pearls, E43 Copic marker, X-Press It 1/2″ foam tape.   Finished card sizes 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″.

Your Friendship Warms My Heart

Hi everyone!  I’m back today for this week’s sketch challenge with My Favorite Things.  When I  saw the sketch (shown below), the first thing I thought was “window.”  I used the square die to cut the window panes and stamped the image on the inside as if the PI girl from Warm Wishes is looking in from outside.

The front panel was created using Pink Lemonade ink with Plaid Builder.  The “window” and sentiment strip were die-cut using Blueprints 8 with the layered hearts die-cut from Kraft and Pink Lemonade card stock using Heart STAX. The button, stitched with hemp cord, is new Insulation Pink.

I stamped the girl on a panel of X-Press It Blending Card, colored with Copics and adhered inside the card.   I completed the sentiment and “grounded” the girl by stamping two rows of wavy stitches from Hearts and Stitches.

Here’s the sketch if you’d like to play along.  You can find all the details, including how you can win up to $20 in MFT cash, HERE on the MFT blog.

Thanks for visiting today!

Additional products used:  Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Copic markers (E00, E11, R01, R02, E31, E35, R30, E40, E41).  Finished size 5″ x 5″.

MFT December Previews, Day 1 – Close Knit

Hi everyone!  Can you believe it’s already time for December previews with My Favorite Things?  We have another great release for you this  month!  My sample today uses one of the new Pure Innocence sets, Close Knit, as well as new Blueprints 10.  I’ve also used a brand new card stock/ink – Insulation Pink paired here with Sno Cone.

Isn’t she cute?   All pieces were die-cut using Blueprints 10 except the horizontal “stitched” strip.  That piece is from Blueprints 2.

The little knitter was stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink then colored with Copics. The cute and quirky sentiment was stamped using MFT’s Black Licorice ink.

Inside, I stamped a silhouette using new Insulation Pink ink along with a handy sentiment from Pure Innocence All Occasion Sentiments.
