MFT March Previews, Floral Fusion Inspiration

Hi everyone!  I’m back for another day of the MFT March Release Countdown. Only four days to go!  🙂

Today I’ve used two of my favorite new releases, Floral Fusion Cover-Up and Lisa Johnson’s Words of Inspiration.

On my first card, I had the idea to use Floral Fusion on an acetate card.  I love how it turned out (although taking the photo was a bit challenging).

I adhered a panel of Berrylicious card stock to an X-Press It High-Tack Double-Sided Adhesive sheet*, both cut to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″.   After die-cutting, I picked out the negative parts (flower centers, etc.) and adhered the die-cut panel to a creased acetate card.  The sentiment was stamped onto Sno Cone card stock using Black Licorice ink, then matted onto Sweet Tooth.  To adhere the sentiment panel, I applied dots of liquid glue only to the portions of the floral panel to be covered by the sentiment so no adhesive shows from the back.

Inside, I adhered a panel of Sno Cone, that too adhered to a double-sided adhesive sheet.

*You must use a super-tacky adhesive or the card stock will peel away from the acetate.

To write inside the card, I plan to use an opaque white pigment pen instead of black or blue so the writing will only be subtly visible through the front.

On my second card, I again used Floral Fusion Cover-Up, die-cut from Pink Lemonade card stock with a Whip Cream panel for the sentiment.

I adhered the die-cut panel to the card base after adhering small pieces of clear foam squares to the back then added dark brown enamel dots to the flower centers.

The sentiment, from Words of Inspiration, was stamped using Chocolate Brown ink.
