Hi everyone! It’s time for a Creative Challenge with My Favorite Things. This month we’re creating treat boxes using our Die-namics dies. I created two boxes and a coordinating card. (My intention was to create a second card but I have not been well and just didn’t have the energy.)
My first box was created using Scalloped Treat Box Die-namics and Sno Cone card stock. The white “stitched” strip was die-cut using Blueprints 2 with a Sno Cone button stitched atop. I created a “peek-a-boo” bunny window using Woven Basket Die-namics by die-cutting the bunny and placing a piece of acetate over the opening inside the box. (There were more candies in the boxes but I ate them.) 🙂
To create the second box, I used Treat Tote Die-namics with a wider “stitched” strip from Blueprints 1 and a Dainty Bow cut from X-Press It Blending Card. (I used Blending Card since that is what was used on the card; I wanted all of the “white” to match.)
Note: I did not use the handle die in the Treat Box set. I wanted the handle a little longer and arched instead of squared so I simply cut a 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ strip of Sno Cone card stock, securing each end inside the basket.
On the card, I used Pure Innocence One of My Favorite Peeps, stamping her onto X-Press It Blending Card and coloring with Copic markers. The white background panel was embossed using the Swiss Dots Stencil with the peep speech bubble cut using Say What? Die-namics. The Fresh Cut Grass was cut from Blending Card and colored with a Copic marker.
Inside, I stamped a sentiment from Pure Innocence I’m All Ears and added a Sno Cone bunny cut from Woven Basket Die-namics.
