Up, up and a-Way to Go!

Hi everyone!  I’m popping in quickly with another sample using Paper SmoochesAugust release!  Today I used Chubby Chum Pals with new Chubby Chum Icons dies, available tomorrow, August 1st.

**Giveaway info HERE !

The bear was die-cut from X-Press It Blending Card, stamped using MFT’s Black Licorice Hybrid ink, then colored with Copic markers.  Balloon Dies were used to die-cut patterned papers, and the sentiment was created using Sentiment Sampler and the exclamation point from Slang Gang.

Isn’t he cute?

I cut a small slit in the bear’s arm, inserted strings and tied the other ends to the balloons.  The orange balloon is also popped up on foam tape.  (Base card stock is a long-time leftover piece of Bazzill something-or-other.  I don’t know the name.)

Thanks so much for visiting today!  I’ll be back soon!  🙂

Additional supplies/info:  Copic markers (E31, E33, E35, E37, E40, E42, E43, R01, R02, Y21, YR23, YR04, YR27, YG93, YG95), white string, enamel dots. Finished size 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″.

hello, foxy

Hi everyone!  I have a Paper Smooches card to share today using a cute fox from Chilly Chums, Kissables 2 (woodgrain background), Ovals 1Hearts dies and Stitched dies.

This cutie-patootie was stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card then colored with Copic markers.  She was then die-cut using new Chilly Chums Icons dies, available August 1st.

The tiny hearts were die-cut from blending card then colored with a marker to match the fox.

The woodgrain background was stamped onto Kraft card stock using Chocolate Brown ink, matted onto Chocolate card stock and popped up on foam tape.  The greeting was stamped in both Kraft and Chocolate inside a die-cut oval “hole.”

I will be back soon with another sample using Paper Smooches’ August release. Thanks for stopping by!

Additional supplies/info:  Copic markers (E08, E08, E37, E4, E40, E41, R01). Finished size 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″.

Another Swim Season Comes to a Close

Hi everyone!  Tomorrow marks the end of another fabulous summer swim season.  We’ll be up and out of here by 5:30 a.m. but after that, I am sleeping in (until at least 7, anyway).

Each year I am asked to create cards for the Board of Directors, and each year I use this toothy fish from a retired CHF/Kim Hughes set, Ocean Friends.  I knew I couldn’t part with it for a reason!  This year I added in Surf & Turf, Quotables and Quote Tag Dies, all currently available from Paper Smooches.

The fish was stamped onto Wild Cherry card stock, cut out and adhered over the stamped waves.  I used a white pigment pen to color in the teeth and a black glaze pen to dot over the eyes.

I hope they like them.  🙂

And now I can look forward to vacation.  *big smile*

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great weekend!

MFT July Creative Challenge – The time honored stripe

Hi everyone!  It’s time for another Creative Challenge with My Favorite Things. This month we’re focusing on stripes.  I have two samples to share.  🙂

First, I’ve used the Diagonal Stripes Background, stamping it first in Berrylicious ink, then Banana Split to create a dual-colored accent panel.

The Pure Innocence I Wheelie Like You image was stamped using Black Licorice hybrid ink onto X-Press It Blending Card then colored with Copic markers, cut out and adhered over two open circles die-cut using Pierced Circle STAX.  The tiny hearts, covered with Glossy Accents, were cut using Blueprints 8.

Inside, I included an additional striped panel, along with a larger heart (also from Blueprints 8) and sentiment from PI Sending Big Hugs.

On my second card, I cut two panels of Stripes Cover-Up, one from Smooth White, one from Berrylicious.  On the stripes removed from the Smooth White die-cut, I stamped the floral pattern from Washi Patterns in Berrylicious ink.  The sentiment is from Celebrate You.

The flower was die-cut using Blueprints 3 with a Sweet Tooth button center and Layered Leaves.

Inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Celebrate You and added a couple of leftover stamped stripes.

you are faBOOlous!

Hi everyone!  I have a card to share today using Paper Smooches‘ new Ghoulfriends stamp set.  It’s free this month with any $60 purchase, and SO cute!

I stamped the ghost using Sweet Tooth pigment ink onto Black Licorice card stock, then white embossed.  I used a portion of the sentiment, slipping in a BOO (and exclamation point) die-cut using Halloween icons.  To brighten the card, I added a strip of Doodlebug Halloween Parade paper with two Doodlebug Halloween Sprinkles (enamel dots).

I’ll be back very soon!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Friends Make the Good Times Better…

Hi everyone.  I needed a quick card to send to a friend, to thank her for being just that…a friend.  True ones are few and far between and I cherish the ones I do have.

I used Chalkboard Greetings along with one of my favorite MFT flower dies, Pretty Posies.  In the center of the flower, I stitched a Sweet Tooth button, then tucked two small Fishtail Flags beneath.

Inside, I stamped a sentiment from Sending Thanks and adhered a leftover strip of patterned paper.

I’ll be back soon!  Thanks for stopping by!  🙂

Finished size 4 3/4″ x 4 3/4″.

Cards, Anyone?

**GONE**  Thank you!

Any gamblers out there?  I have six “video” Priority Mail boxes filled with cards (approximately 20-30 each) that I want to get rid of.

$20 each, which INCLUDES shipping —  U.S. addresses  ONLY PLEASE as  I need to be able to print the labels myself and have the mailman pick-up from my door.  PAYPAL ONLY.

Subtracting an average of $6 for shipping, that averages to about 61 cents per card (based on 23 in box, but some have more).

If you’re a frequent visitor of  my blog, you know the types of cards included. They have all been on my blog.  Lots of Pure Innocence, à la modes, Wendy Burns Designs, Birdie Brown (lots of Copic coloring), but definite mix of others.   Some are new, some are older.  I like them all.  I just can’t use/keep them all.

I can be reached at [email protected].   Thank you!

Welcome, fur baby

Hi everyone!  I have a bit of a twist today using Paper SmoochesCat Icons and Charmed Cat stamp set.  How about something for a friend who just added a kitten to their family?

I die-cut the paws from soft Pink Lemonade card stock, which perfectly matches the light pink in Echo Park’s Homefront Dots and Stripes.    “Fur Baby” is from new Charmed Cat stamp set, and “welcome” was stamped from Salutations.

Thanks for visiting!  🙂

MFT July Release Rewind – Tags, Cakes…and Spiders, Oh My!

Hi everyone!  It’s Day 2 of Release Rewind with MFT, an opportunity for the design team to use product we didn’t have a chance to use during previews.  On both of my projects today, I used Tag Builder Blueprints 1, Bring On the Cake Die-namics and Pinking Edge Circle STAX.

The first time I saw the decorative icing dies in Bring On the Cake Die-namics, I thought of spider legs.  I used the smallest Pinking Edge Circle for the body and eyes were cut using the eyelet circle from Tag Builder.

I *love* the color combo of Black Licorice, Grape Jelly and Limeade for Halloween.

Inside, I stamped a sentiment from Trick of Sweet using Sweet Tooth pigment ink, white embossed then die-cut with a Pinking Edge Circle.

Next, I created a funky Halloween birthday card.  The background was embossed using Starry Night Stencil.  I added a strip of Dotted Scallop Border (middle die of the three sizes) to create a “table cloth” of sorts.  The sentiment is from new Delicious Birthday stamp set.

The spider (except for one strip of his legs) and cake are raised on foam tape.

Inside, I added a second Dotted Scallop Border and a sentiment from Sweet Birthday Wishes.

Be sure to check out the MFT Blog for direct links to more Release Rewind posts.

Thanks for stopping by today!  🙂

Additional supplies/info:  X-Press It 1/2″ and 1/4″  foam tape, white embossing powder, Kaiser Craft rhinestones.  Finished sizes:  4U card 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″.   Delicious Birthday card 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″.

you’re purrfect

Hi everyone! Just popping in with a quick and easy card featuring Paper Smooches‘ new Feline Friends stamp set.

I like the swanky silhoutte of this kitty.

I added a strip of rhinestones, highlighted by black card stock (kind of like a blingy collar).  The bit of patterned paper is from Echo Park’s Hello Sunshine paper pad.  (Echo Park is my current fave for patterned papers.)

I’ll be back tomorrow with something a little funky and fun.  (Thinking outside of the box…)

Thanks for visiting!   Have a great day!

Additional supplies/info:  Zva Creative crystals.  Finished size 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″.
