MFT July Creative Challenge – The time honored stripe

Hi everyone!  It’s time for another Creative Challenge with My Favorite Things. This month we’re focusing on stripes.  I have two samples to share.  :)

First, I’ve used the Diagonal Stripes Background, stamping it first in Berrylicious ink, then Banana Split to create a dual-colored accent panel.

The Pure Innocence I Wheelie Like You image was stamped using Black Licorice hybrid ink onto X-Press It Blending Card then colored with Copic markers, cut out and adhered over two open circles die-cut using Pierced Circle STAX.  The tiny hearts, covered with Glossy Accents, were cut using Blueprints 8.

Inside, I included an additional striped panel, along with a larger heart (also from Blueprints 8) and sentiment from PI Sending Big Hugs.

On my second card, I cut two panels of Stripes Cover-Up, one from Smooth White, one from Berrylicious.  On the stripes removed from the Smooth White die-cut, I stamped the floral pattern from Washi Patterns in Berrylicious ink.  The sentiment is from Celebrate You.

The flower was die-cut using Blueprints 3 with a Sweet Tooth button center and Layered Leaves.

Inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Celebrate You and added a couple of leftover stamped stripes.

  6. Both cards are wonderful, Michele! Your coloring and two-toned striped background are amazing! I really like how you incorporated the pattern with the cover ups die on the second card. I like how you used a portion of the same die and pattern on the inside as well. Great creations!

What sweet cards! I especially like the first one and how the circles kind of echo the sentiment. Love those sweet glossy hearts too!
