MFT December Previews – Wild Things

Hi everyone!  Welcome to another day of MFT December previews!  Only three more days until the release!  Today I’ve used Miss Tiina’s super cute new Wild Things stamp set with coordinating Die-namics, Wild Greenery Die-namics and Stitched Fishtail Flag STAX.

Whats-Up-500Isn’t that giraffe cute?  I love him.  🙂    After die-cutting from X-Press It Blending Card, I stamped using Black Licorice hybrid ink then colored with Copic markers. The Kraft background was stamped with Linen Blackground and Kraft ink.  Two Flat Bottom Clouds were attached with one raised on foam tape.

Whats-Up-CU

The “greenery” was cut from Blending Card as well then colored with Copics. The sentiment was stamped onto a Stitched Fishtail Flag.

I used two inks for the flowers, a dark for the outline and a lighter ink for the insides.  On the slightly darker ‘inside’ parts, I layered that same ink about three to four times.

The darker hearts were covered with Glossy Accents.  And I ♥ this sentiment.  🙂

hats off to you

Hi everyone.  I hope you had a great weekend.  We’ve been getting ready for Thursday.  Our fridge is packed and I still need to clean but I always look forward to Thanksgiving.  (And then Christmas!)  This is my favorite time of the year.  ♥

Today I have a Paper Smooches card to share using new Noggin Toppers stamp set with Hat Dies and a little critter  from Party Posse.

Hats-Off-to-You-475

The critter and hat rack (branch from Hang Ups) were stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card with Black Licorice hybrid ink and colored with Copic markers.  To add a bit of interest, I dotted the eyes with a clear glaze pen.

The cute hats were pieced from scraps of Doodlebug Happy Camper patterned paper.

love never melts

Hi everyone!  Between working on new release samples (for both teams), getting ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas, having a sick child, a husband working 24/7 and dealing with excruciating lower back pain, I haven’t had much of a chance to post. But things are calming a bit so I thought I’d pop in to share another card using Paper Smooches SUPER cute Cool Dudes stamp set.

Michele-Cool-Dudes-2

I just love this little snow couple.  🙂   They were stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card with MFT’s Black Licorice hybrid ink then colored with Copic markers.  I paper pieced little bits to add just a small amount of pattern detail.  (I think it makes a big difference.)

The scalloped border was created using the scallop edge die from MFT’s Blueprints 3.  After die-cutting I used a hole punch to dot the scallops.

Love-Never-Melts-CU

The background (snow) was created using the negative circles from MFT’s Pegboard Cover Up.  I used Glossy Accents and a QuickStick to easily place and adhere the dots exactly where I wanted them.  QuickStick is a MUST HAVE paper crafting tool, in my opinion. I use it ALL the time.

Back I go to my million other things I have to do this weekend.  Check back this week for MFT’s Creative Challenge, MFT December previews, a Craftsy post and Paper Smooches December release blog hop.  WHEW!

By the way, if you do not like getting email notifications of my posts (I know some weeks there are a lot), you can follow my Paper Cuts page on Facebook, Bloglovin (links on my right side bar) or even Instagram.  My name there is SHEL9999.

Welcome-Neighborhood-475

The cute tag is held to the bag with a tiny clothes pin from Target’s $1 section.

Next, I used new Blueprints 20 with the layout coming from the BP20 inspiration sheet (available here by clicking on “Click to Download this Blueprint”).

Keep-Cozy-500

The sentiment, from Cozy Greetings, was white embossed.  The quilted squares were cut from Sno Cone and Berrylicious card stock, framed in Smooth White.

Keep-Cozy-CUInside, I stamped a second sentiment in Sweet Tooth ink, white embossed and used some of the leftover squares from the die-cut quilted pieces.
