happy birthday to my not so little girl

Time goes by so very quickly. I feel like I’ve barely blinked and yesterday my youngest turned 13.  Her older brother has always been the “entertaining” one but in the last year or so, she’s gone from quiet and shy to outgoing, outspoken (ha!) and pretty darn funny. I ♥ my kids, so very much.

For this year’s birthday card, my daughter requested that I use MFT’s new Summer Splash and Coral Crush.

As a side note, in case you are not aware, there is a 30-day color challenge happening on Instagram. (You can find my posts here.)  I, along with many others, are committing to color SOMETHING, even if it’s small, every day for 30 days.  I colored this Stamping Bella image earlier in the week with my daughter’s card in mind.

Uptown Girl Bentley is Blown Away was stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copic markers. Once colored, I added subtle glitter to her dress using a clear Wink of Stella glitter brush. The sentiment is from MFT’s Birthday Sentiments and the little scalloped tab was die-cut using a tag topper from Tag Builder Blueprints 2.

Inside, I stamped a silhouette of the image using Summer Splash ink and partial sentiment from Paper Smooches Happy Birthday.
