This week Jennifer McGuire’s Sharing Handmade Kindness campaign is focusing on the community. Thank a fireman, a policeman, your local baker. Today I am thanking a librarian. Can you imagine the number of questions she answers each day, how many people she helps to find the information they seek?
I’ve wanted to color this Saturated Canary image for quite some time. What the Librarian Reads… This gave me the perfect excuse.
I colored with Copics, and used some tips from Coloring Faces & Hair to color the glasses. If you look closely, you can see that I left a tiny bit of white around the inside rim of the lenses. I never would have thought to do that before reading the book, but it definitely creates a more realistic look. You will find many helpful coloring tips in Coloring Faces & Hair.
