Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing a preview from Taylored Expressions‘ April 7 release. Although I don’t stitch (at all), I love needlepoint/quilt/cross-stitch themes, so I truly enjoyed creating with these new stamps and dies.
I’ve used Quilted Cover Plate, Little Bits Needle & Thread dies and A Thousand Stitches sentiment set.
To create my patchwork “quilt” I first used the Quilted Cutting Plate to die-cut Sugar Cube card stock. I adhered the stitched outline only onto a block of X-Press It Adhesive Sheet. I then die-cut the patterned paper (from Simple Stories Vintage Bliss. I love this paper! So pretty! Once the patterned pieces were cut, I used a pick-up tool (stick with a slightly tacky end) to pick up and easily place each piece into its corresponding space.
After die-cutting the spool, I layered Copic markers (to create a perfect match to the patterned paper), adhered the die-cut “thread” then wrapped string around, carefully inserting the needle as I wrapped.
The sentiment, was stamped onto Sugar Cube card stock then die-cut using Stitched Square Stacklets.
