Warm Wishes (stamping bella)

Hello, everyone. It’s another fabulous Friday with Stamping Bella! This week I used Uptown Girl Quinn & Her Boots.

Michele Boyer - Stamping Bella

We were to follow this fun {Mojo}Bella sketch. For my card, I flipped the sketch so the circle was on the bottom left instead of the upper right.

Oct 28

After coloring with Copic markers (listed below the close-up photo), I added dots of snow using Inksenntials white enamel accents.

Today I’ve used new Christmas Tree die.

Michele-Christmas-Tree500

The words are formed on one die so it’s super easy to die-cut the sentiment all at once or, once die-cut, the words can be used individually. So versatile! I die-cut the sentiment from green card stock, taking care to save the tiny pieces from inside the letters so they could be adhered in the open spaces over the patterned paper below.

To create a glittery gold star, I used new 1″ gold glitter tape from Copic. (I’ll focus more on that soon.) Super easy! The star and pot were raised on Kool Tak clear foam squares for a bit of added dimension.

Michele-Christmas-TreeCU

Be sure to hop along and comment with the rest of the DT to increase your chances of winning one of the four $25 gift codes!  Pamela is taking a hiatus for our November and December releases.  She will pick back up with our January release.  The very talented and clever Jill Hawkins will be her temporary replacement.

Thanks for visiting!  Good luck, and happy hopping!  🙂

Doodling with Gasenfude

Hi everyone! Today I needed a card for a friend who is going through a particularly tough time. Simon Says Stamp‘s Uplifting Thoughts was the perfect sentiment set to use. I also wanted to include a floral image so I decided to step out of my comfort zone and use Copic’s Gasenfude nylon brush pen to create my own image.

So-Many-Beautiful-Reasons-500

The Gasenfude pen includes waterbased, black pigment ink that is 100% compatible with Copic markers. It has a super-fine point for detail work and 9mm long bristles for creating a dry brush effect, depending on how you hold and use the pen.

101_gasenfude

I practiced a bit on scrap paper before trying the pen on X-Press It Blending Card.

So-Many-Beautiful-Reasons-CU

After coloring with Copic markers, I used Opaque White to add a few highlights to the two larger flower centers.

I Just Want Someone to Believe In Me (taylored expressions)

Hi everyone! Thanks so much for visiting!

Today I’m sharing a card using a few of Taylored Expressions‘ latest releases, Santa’s Helpers with coordinating dies and All Wrapped Up gift dies (complete with cute bows).

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions

At the time, I did not have Build a Scene Rolling Hills so I improvised with Build a Scene Rolling Waves, strategically placing the gifts over the wave points. It out worked great!

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions

The reindeer (♥) was colored with Copic markers, die-cut, then tucked beneath the snow. I stamped the sentiment in Oreo and Cherry Pop inks, using my MISTI so the words remained perfectly aligned in between color impressions. Patterned papers are from TE’s Playful Patterns Holiday.

Thanks for stopping by!

Oh Em Gee (stamping bella)

Hello crafty friends. Today I’m sharing a card I created using Stamping Bella‘s Sofia the Sicky with a sentiment from Paper Smooches‘ Slang Gang.

Michele Boyer - Stamping Bella

My card was inspired by the amount of Walking Dead my husband and I have been watching in an effort to catch up with this season which starts tonight. We’re almost there but not quite, so please, no spoilers. (The DVR will be rolling at 9:00.) Wow, is it ever intense. I never thought I’d like this show but I am all in…even if I’m peeking through hand covered eyes half the time. Haha.

I stamped Sofia onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copic markers. After coloring, I added a bit of pattern to the pillows using Copic’s new Lavendar Multiliner in size 0.5.  (I used a Lavender pen on THIS card as well, to create a background.) Capture

Here’s a bit about Multiliners:

  • Archival, waterproof, fade resistant, pigment-based ink
  • Available in black, wine, cobalt, olive, gray, warm gray, sepia, brown, pink and lavender
  • Cobalt, wine, lavender and olive available in 4 nib sizes
  • Other options are available in 9 nib sizes: 0.03 mm, 0.05 mm, 0.1 mm, 0.3 mm, 0.5 mm, 0.8 mm, 1.0 mm, Brush Small and Brush Medium
  • Multiliner Sets: available in a variety of combinations
Michele Boyer - Stamping Bella

Copic markers – B63, B66, BG70, BV31, C00, C1, C2, C3, C7, E00, E01, E11, E31, E35, E37, E40, E41, E42, E43, G12, G21, R02, R11, R12, R46, Y21, 0.5 Lavendar Multiliner

Once I had added the dots to the pillows, I decided to deepen the shadow even further. I love that Copic marker can be added on top of the Multiliner, once dry, with no bleed whatsoever.

Thanks so much for visiting today.

Happy Boo Day (stamping bella)

Hi crafty friends! Happy Friday! Here is my card for this week’s challenge with Stamping Bella. I used Uptown Girl Kitty Loves Halloween with a partial sentiment from Tiny Townie Birthday Party.

Michele Boyer - Stamping Bella

We created using this inspiration photo. (I love the colors.)

Oct 21

I colored with Copic markers, adding various sizes of dots around the image to create a bit of shadow. To add a bit of dimension, I added some tiny rhinestones snipped away from leftover pieces of a black flourish.

Michele Boyer

Copic markers – BG10, BV00, BV04, BV08, BV13, BV17, C00, C1, C2, C7, C9, 110, E07, E09, E11, E33, E35, E59, YR02, YR12, YR16, YR18, YR21, YR27

It’s All Fun & Games Until Santa Checks the Naughty List (taylored expressions)

Hello crafty friends! Today I have a fun Christmas card to share. You know I love a little snarkiness, and Taylored ExpressionsElf Grumplings are full of it.

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions

This sentiment is my favorite of the three in the set. There are two elves and the gift stack, and the set comes with three coordinating dies.  I love that, all in one neat little package. 🙂

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions

Copic markers – BG11, E00, E11, E40, E41, E42, R02, R27, R39, R85, RV32, YG05, YG07, YG09; Clear atyou Spica glitter pen

My elf and gifts were colored with Copics then die-cut and adhered with the elf popped up on a bit of foam tape. In the upper corner, I added a new Skinny Mini Holiday Border, colored with Copics and a Zig Painty pen. To add just a touch of sparkle, I colored over the light bulbs with a clear atyou Spica glitter pen.

Thanks so much for visiting today!  (Only nine weeks to Christmas! Eek!)

Believe in the Spirit of Christmas (taylored expressions)

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing a card using a lovely new die, Wreath Cutting Plate, available exclusively from the Taylored Expressions web store.

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions

I used the die to create a Christmas card but it could so easily be used for any season. In the center of the wreath, I stamped a sentiment from In & Out Christmas using Sugar Cube ink, white embossed.

Fall Blessings (paper smooches)

Hi everyone! Just popping in to share a card using Paper Smooches‘ new Blessings die along with Fall Sampler and Thanksgiving dies.

Michele Boyer - Paper Smooches

I die-cut the pie from Carta Bella’s Fall Blessings (6×6) patterned papers, adding a tiny heart above. A few sentiments from Fall Sampler were stamped around the die-cut Blessings. (Fall Sampler is free with any retail order over $60 through the October 31st.)

The little tab on the side is actually the pie crust, die-cut from Chocolate card stock, tucked beneath the focal panel and stitched in place. (I guess I was thinking outside of the box!)
