be BRRRave (mo manning/paper smooches)

Hi everyone! Yesterday I picked up a few digital images from various online sales and actually had time to color one! Yay!  Haha. This is Snow Tot One from Mo’s Digital Pencil.

Michele Boyer - Mo Manning

She’s sooo cute, I think.  She was printed onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copic markers. The super cute sentiment is from Paper SmoochesWinter Sampler which you can get for free for just a few more days (through 11/30) with any $60 retail purchase, or it can be purchased on its own.

Copic markers - BG10, BG11, BG70, C00, C1, C2, E01, E11, E27, E35, G07, R02, R05, R14, R20, R37, Y21, Y32, YG17, YG23, YG25

It’s been a while since I’ve stitched on a card (or anything else for that matter). I blew the dust from my machine and crossed my fingers that it still worked. Luckily, it did.  🙂

Seeing Isn’t Believing

Hello everyone! I hope my U.S. friends had a nice Thanksgiving yesterday. (I’m still full.) 🙂

It’s time for another Bellarific Friday post with Stamping Bella. Last week’s challenge included the {Mojo}Bella sketch found at the bottom of this post. I used Santa is Stuck with the coordinating die.

Seeing-is-Believing-500

I first stamped him onto X-Press It Blending Card then colored with Copics and die-cut the image. I trimmed off the very bottom of the chimney for a flat edge.

Seeing-is-Believing-CU

On Santa’s hat trim and boot fluff, I added some super sparkly teeny tiny glitter using atyou Spica glitter pens in Clear with a bit of Buttermilk.

Seeing-is-Believing-CU2

The pens come in 24 different colors. (One is clear). Each contains micro glass flakes within transparent pigment so they can be used over other inks. My favorites are Clear and Buttermilk. I use them all the time.

spica

I store my Spica pens horizontally in a cubby hole next to my Copics. (Once opened, the pens should be stored horizontally so the flakes don’t clog the tip. Should this happen, simply hold the pen, tip down, for 10 or so minutes and try again. I have not experienced any issues with clogging.) You can find a bit more info about atyouSpica pens HERE and find them for sale, individually or in sets, HERE.

Next week’s challenge is to use holiday colors. Use any current Stamping Bella image then email your card to [email protected] by next Thursday to be featured on the SB blog and to be entered to win some Bella Bucks! (All challenge details can be found HERE.)

Thanks for visiting!  🙂

On my card I used new Snow Drifts dies and Winter Sampler stamp set. Winter Sampler is this month’s Thanks a Million (TAM) set, free to you with any $60 retail purchase through December 31st.

Michele Boyer - Paper Smooches

ETA: The Snow Drifts dies cut the thin raised outline. When the outline is cut, the matching curved edge of the card stock is also cut, so I adhered the thin outline just over that remaining cut edge. (Clear as mud?)

I used a blending tool to create the soft blue sky then white embossed the sentiment and add snowflakes with an opaque white pen. Super simple. 🙂

Michele Boyer - Paper Smooches

Be sure to hop along and comment with the rest of the DT to increase your chances of winning one of the four $25 gift codes!  Pamela is taking a short break and will return for our January release.  The very talented and clever Jill Hawkins will be her temporary replacement.

Thanks for visiting!  Good luck, and happy hopping!  🙂

Joy Tag Trio (taylored expressions)

Hello everyone! I had a few extra super cute Santa’s Helpers from Taylored Expressions already colored so I thought I’d put them to good use on a few Christmas tags.

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions Christmas Tag Trio

I used Build a Tag 2 to create the tag bases as well as the scalloped squares.

To create the glitter stripes, I simply adhered strips of X-Press It’s Glitter Deco Tape. Ten different colors are included in one package with about 15 ft. of tape on each roll. The tape tears (or cuts) easily, is flexible and repositionable. The packaging also serves as reclosable storage. See that little square shaped cut-out at the top of the rolls (in the photo below)? That pulls out, allowing the rolls to be removed and replaced as needed. You can find a variety of X-Press It’s deco tape HERE.

X-Press It Glitter Deco Tape

I used my MISTI to perfectly place “joy” on each square then adhered within the scalloped frame onto each tag. The critters were colored with Copics, die-cut with coordinating dies and adhered using X-Press It 1/2″ foam tape. The gifts, die-cut using All Wrapped Up, were also adhered using foam tape.

Trio of Christmas tags

Copic markers – E34, E35, E37, E40, E41, E42, E43, R01, R02, R37, R59, W00, W1, W2, 110, Y21

Michele Boyer - Stamping Bella

I used Christmas Bug. I just love how that big ol’ tree is stuffed into that small car. Not sure where the driver might be. Haha.

Happy Christmas (paper smooches)

Hi everyone! Today I’m popping in with a card using some of the lastest products available from Paper Smooches as well as some super cool metallic tape from X-Press It.

Michele Boyer - Paper Smooches

I used new Gingerbread House dies with a sentiment from this month’s TAM stamp set, Be Merry.

TAM = Thanks A Millon = FREE to you with any $60 retail purchase through November 30.

Michele Boyer - Paper Smooches

Copic markers – G05, R89, Y02, YR68

I used Copic markers to color the candies then added some clear Ranger Rock Candy Distress Stickles to create a “sugary” look.

foil-tape400

For quick metallic stripes, I used X-Press It’s Foil Deco Tape. The roll comes with ten 6mm super shiny colors with over 9 ft. of tape per roll. The tape is repositionable so it’s very easy to apply. Perfect for cards, tags, and gift wrap! I think I’ll even add a bit of bright, shiny color to my calendar.  🙂
You can find a variety of X-Press It’s Deco Tape HERE.

2017 Calendar, additional months (taylored expressions)

Hi everyone! A couple weeks ago (in this post) I featured six months of 2017 calendar pages using Taylored Expressions3″ x 4″ calendar sheets, Calendar Critters stamps and dies and new Build a Scene Calendar 2. Today I have the remaining six months to share.

3x4 calendar group of April, May, June, July, August and September

The calendars are so much fun to create! The background is already printed on each sheet so it’s quick and easy to add critters, flowers, inspirational messages or anything you’d like. The cute easel (perfect for display) can be found HERE.

Click on the thumbnails below to see each month in a larger format.

So Bright (stamping bella)

Hi everyone. I’m just back from a wonderfully relaxing trip to the beach and trying to get back into the swing of things. (It was so hard to leave!)

Anyway, it’s time for another {Mojo}Bella challenge with Stamping Bella. Several days ago I had colored ChristmasGIFTabella as part of the 30 Day Color Challenge on Instagram. Today I put her to good use.  Isn’t she pretty?  And so fancy! 🙂

Michele Boyer - Stamping Bella

She was stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copic markers. I had a bit of a challenge in coloring her dress as my two favorite red markers need to be refilled and I have no refills for them! I need to place an order (pronto).

Michele Boyer - Stamping Bella

Copic markers – BG10, E00, E01, E11, G07, G09, R01, R37, R59, WOO, W1, W2, W4, W7, 110

To create depth within the dress trim, I dotted in shadow using BG10, Woo and W1. I find dotting the easiest way to add depth to anything fluffy.

Next week’s challenge includes this inspiration photo:

O’ Christmas Tree (paper smooches)

Hi everyone! I hope your week is off to a good start!

Today I’m sharing a card I created using Paper Smooches‘ new Decorate a Tree die set and Be Merry stamp set. The Be Merry stamp set is free through November 30th with any $60 retail order. You can find all of Paper Smooches’ latest releases HERE.

O-Christmas-Tree-500

To create the super sparkly star and ornaments, I used X-Press It 1″ Silver Glitter Deco Tape. It’s SUPER sparkly, tears (or cuts) easily, is repositionable and available in gold and silver.

O-Christmas-Tree-Deco-Tape-1

I simply adhered a small strip of the tape to card stock, then die-cut as usual. Sooo easy!

O-Christmas-Tree-Deco-Tape-2

To add a bit of color variation to my ornaments, I used an R85 marker to color a bit of the tape before die-cutting additional ornaments.

O-Christmas-Tree-CU

I wish the sparkle showed in the photo. It’s really nice!

You can find all X-Press It Deco Tape HERE.  Thanks for visiting!

How Many More Sleeps? (stamping bella)

Hi everyone! Happy Friday! This week’s challenge with Stamping Bella was to simply create a card. It doesn’t get much easier than that. 🙂

Today I’ve used Stamping Bella’s November Stamp of the Month, super-cute Sleepy Bunny Wobbles. The image, with coordinating sentiment, is available at 20% off through November 30. 🙂

Michele Boyer - Stamping Bella

After coloring with Copic markers, I cut out the image, taking care to cut right up to the black outline all the way around.
