Sometimes a Hug is All You Need (stamping bella)

(Paper Smooches release hop can be found HERE.)

Hi everyone! TGIF! It’s time for another challenge with Stamping Bella! Last week’s challenge was to create a one layer card. I used super cute Huggy Squidgies. 🙂

Stamping Bella Huggy Squidgies

As always, I colored with Copic markers. Since Copics bleed through to the back of the paper, I adhered the panel to a white card base for a clean appearance.

Stamping Bella Huggy Squidgies (close-up)

Copic markers – BG01, BG45, BG49, BG53, E00, E01, E11, E13, E15, E18, E31, E35, E50, G21, R01, R20, R29, R39, R59, W00, W1, W2, Y21, YG63, YG67; Copic Opaque White

Once the blue dress was colored, I added small white dots using Copic Opaque White and a toothpick. To finish the card, I added a strip of washi tape and a bit of hemp twine.

Next week’s challenge is to simply create a card. Anything you’d like. Use any current Stamping Bella image then email your card to [email protected] by next Thursday to be featured on the SB blog and to be entered to win some Bella Bucks! (All challenge details can be found HERE.)

Thanks so much for visiting today!

thinking of you (stamping bella)

Hello everyone! It’s Friday and that means another challenge with Stamping Bella! Today I’ve used one of my favorite Uptown Girls, Jayden Loves to Journal to create a card based on the inspiration photo seen at the bottom of this post. I chose to use the color combo.

Michele Boyer - Stamping Bella

I also once again used Copic’s Coloring Faces & Hair with Copic Markers book from the Coloring Foundations series by Marianne Walker.

Thinking-of-You-Jayden-CU3

I can’t stress how helpful this book is. Last week I used it for tips as well as a color combo for hair. This week I followed tips on coloring simple faces.

Thinking-of-You-Jayden-CU2

In the book Marianne does a phenomenal job of providing very clear step by step instruction for coloring both simple and complex images. The book truly is an invaluable resource for coloring faces and hair. You can find additional instructional material regarding coloring Cats & Dogs, Flowers, Nature, People, Fine Details and more HERE.

Michele Boyer - Stamping Bella

Copic markers – BG11, BG32, BV000, C00, C1, C3, C5, E00, E01, E11, E31, E35, R81, R83, RV32, W1, W2, Y21

Next week’s challenge is to create with one layer. Just one. 🙂  Use any current Stamping Bella image then email your card to [email protected] by next Thursday to be featured on the SB blog and to be entered to win some Bella Bucks! (All challenge details can be found HERE.)

In other Stamping Bella news, new release previews begin this Saturday (3/25) with a release date of Thursday, March 30th! I will be back Sunday with my first set of samples. I hope to see you then!  🙂

Oceans of Fun and Sending Smooches (Queen & Company)

Hi everyone! I’ve been having loads of fun creating shaker cards with new Queen & Company Foam Front Card Kits. Today I have two to share, one using Circle Foam Front kit and the other using new Hearts Foam Front kit.

Oceans-of-Fun-500

First, I used the Circle Foam Front kit to create an ocean themed birthday card for my niece. The two fish are inside the shaker with the octopus attached over the transparency.

Oceans-of-Fun-CU-500

The inside was filled with Diamonds, Pops and Tiny Bubbles toppings. The paper, from Picture Perfect 6″ x 6″ Mat Stack is also from Queen & Company. The fish/octopus and sentiment are from Taylored Expressions’ Oceans of Fun stamp/die combo and colored with Copic markers.

Sending-Smooches-500

On my next card I used papers from Flirty Florals. Sooo pretty and girly. I love them. Inside the Hearts Foam Shaker openings, I placed Posies and Pops. After the hearts were filled and the covers adhered, I placed a few sparkly Pink Petite Posies next to some of the hearts.

Sending-Smooches-CU-500

On the pink gingham, I stamped “sending” from Paper Smooches’ Smooches stamp set and added a coordinating die-cut Smooches word.

Thanks so much for visiting today!

Love You Bigly (paper smooches)

Hi everyone! Today I’m using some new stamps and dies from Paper SmoochesDinosaur die and Huge Hugs 2, a cute and quirky sentiment set to go along with this month’s TAM (Thanks a Million) stamp set, Huge Hugs. It’s really cute. You should definitely check it out. Huge Hugs is also free for just another week or so, through March 31st with any $60 retail order.

Michele Boyer - Paper Smooches

After die-cutting the dino from kraft and green card stock, I added some texture and a bit of shading with Copic markers.

Copic markers – E33, YG91, YG93, 100

He’s delivering BIGLY love to someone. Haha.

Fun with Paw Prints (queen & company)

Hi everyone! I’m sure by now you’ve seen all the super cool shaker card kits now available from Queen & Company. They are a-MAZ-ing. I love them so much.

Today I have four cards featured on the Q&C blog. I’m sharing two here today and the other two on Wednesday. The Paw Print Foam Front kit includes all the basics needed to create two shakers — two card bases, two pre-cut foam bases, two transparencies and two card stock covers. The toppings (or shaker elements) are sold separately.

Welcome-to-the-Neighborhood-500

First I created a card that will welcome a new pup to our neighborhood (not at my house).  🙂  Inside the paw, I placed several shades of Neutral Pearlies as well as some Bitty Beads.

Welcome-to-the-Neighborhood-CU-500

All papers are also from Q&C, Stripes and Dots. In lieu of the card stock cover, I used the coordinating Paw Print Foam Front Die to cut the striped paper. The sentiment and puppy stamps are from Paper Smooches’ Paws for a Cause and The Welcome Wagon stamp sets. After stamping the pup, I adhered a white heart Sequin Sprinkle to the pup’s collar area using Scrap Happy Sheer Glue.

Bear-Hugs-500

Next, I transformed the puppy paw into a bear paw by adhering a Twinkle Drop to the end of each paw pad to resemble a claw.

Bear-Hugs-CU-500

I filled the paw print openings with Pops, Sequin Sprinkles and Diamonds then added Paper Smooches’ Happy Camper bear and sign.

I’ll be back on Wednesday to blab about my other two shakers. Thanks so much for visiting! 🙂
