Grateful for You (Queen & Company)

Hi everyone! Today I have a shaker card to share created using Queen & Companys Lines Foam Front Shaker Kit. I think I’d like to get a few more as it would be so easy to use for any occasion. (Super quick birthday card…thinking of you…get well…congrats…anything really!)

Michele Boyer - Queen & Co.

Inside, I used yellow stripes from Simple Stripes 6″ x 6″ Mat Stack along with Bitty Beads, Donuts and super cute Posies.  In lieu of the card stock cover included in the kit, I used the coordinating Lines Foam Front die to cut a floral cover from Flirty Florals 6″ x 6″ Mat Stack. It is one of my favorite paper pads EVER.

Michele Boyer - Queen & Co.

To finish, I added some red Rivets, a Grateful Die and white embossed “for you” (Paper Smooches).

Thanks so much for visiting today! ♥

Where You’re Headed (stamping bella) and Give-away Winner

Hi everyone! Welcome to another Bellarific Friday with Stamping Bella! Last week’s challenge was to add glitter or bling to our cards. I used both. 🙂

Michele Boyer - Stamping Bella

I used Tiny Townie Sally Rides her Snail along with tips from Copic’s Coloring Foundations – Coloring Faces & Hair with Copic Markers.

Copic Coloring Foundations - Coloring Faces & Hair with Copic Markers

The book includes a variety of Copic coloring techniques with clear, step by step instructions for projects ranging from very simple to more complex. There is line art which can be copied and colored, as well as coloring charts for skin, hair and eyes. Both beginning and experienced Copic marker users will find the book helpful. You can find additional Coloring Foundations books, along with coordinating Line Art Kits, HERE.

Copic-F&H

I used the suggested color combination of Y21, E35 and E39 for Sally’s hair.

After coloring, I added a few of Queen & Company’s adhesive Pinwheels, as well as a bit of subtle glitter on the snail’s shell using a clear Wink of Stella glitter brush.

Next week’s challenge is to use this inspiration photo:

thanks (Queen & Co.)

Hi everyone! Just popping in quickly to share a very simple card I created using Queen & Company‘s Heart Throb kit.Michele Boyer - Queen & Co.

I *loved* creating with this kit. The papers are so very pretty, and I love the toppings (shaker elements). Here, I simply glued some around the die-cut heart and sentiment. The dies are included in the kit as well. So quick, and so easy. 🙂

Michele Boyer - Queen & Co.

I adore those tiny flowers!

Hoppy Easter (paper smooches)

Hi everyone! Today I’m popping in (or “hopping in”) with a quick and easy shaped card using new Bunny Card die set from Paper Smooches.

Hoppy-Easter-500

This set is THEE cutest! The only element I added not included in the set is the Baby Bow.  (I love the whiskers!)

Hoppy-EasterCU0

The patterned ears, nose and bow were cut from Queen & Company’s Heart Throb paper pad. (Such pretty patterns/colors!) The bunny face is adhered to a small gray card base, approximately 4 1/4″ x 2″.

Hoppy-EasterIn

Inside, I stamped and embossed a sentiment from Critter Card Puns. The set includes lots of fun(ny) sentiments to coordinate with all of the new shaped card dies which you can see HERE along with the other latest releases.

Thanks so much for visiting!

More Shaker Kit Fun

Hi everyone! Happy Monday! Today I have two cards to share using Queen & Company‘s incredibly easy and VERY fun shaker card kits.

My first card uses the Stars Foam Front Kit, Stars Foam Front Die and Pretty Presents 6″ x 6″ Mat Stack.

Queen & Company Stars Foam Front Shaker

The kit comes with supplies to create one shaker card – card base, pre-cut foam, transparency and card stock cover. In lieu of the card stock cover, I used the coordinating die to create the striped background.

Queen & Company Stars Foam Front Shaker Kit (close-up)

Inside the star openings, I placed super sparkly Diamonds and Tiny Bubbles toppings. Along the side, I added red twine and a sentiment tag using Paper SmoochesCelebrate Word die and woohoo from Noteworthy stamp set.

On my next card, I used the Butterflies Shaker Kit with lovely Flirty Florals paper.

Queen & Company Butterfly Foam Shaker Kit

The butterflies kit comes with nine self-adhesive foam shapes, pre-cut acetate covers for each, three coordinating metal dies, and a clear storage pouch. This is one of my favorite kits. 🙂

I filled my butterfly with Diamonds and Bitty Beads then added a few Pink Posies onto the butterfly center and the pink gingham paper.

Queen & Company Butterfly Foam Shaker Kit (close up)

To create the beaded border, I applied a line of X-Press It High Tack double-sided tape then poured Bitty Beads over to adhere. I hadn’t yet decided on which sentiment to use and once I did decide, I realized the y (from Paper Smooches Scripty Sayings) was going to dip into the line of beads. To solve the problem, I simply used a craft knife to easily cut away that tiny bit of the beaded strip.

You can check out all of Queen & Company’s super cool products HERE. (I will warn you, they are LOADS of fun.)

Thanks so much for stopping by! 🙂

Sweet Lily and Instagram Copic Giveaway

Hi everyone! It’s another Bellarific Friday with Stamping Bella! This week I have used what might be my favorite stamp of all time, Tiny Townie Garden Girl Lily. She’s sooooo sweet.  I think my give-away is kind of sweet too. Read on! 🙂

Always-on-My-Mind-500

Last week’s challenge was to design using this {mojo}bella sketch:

March 10

I turned the sketch on its side and widened the center panel, pretty much sticking to it.

I used a few of the markers from Copic’s 6-piece Ciao Skin Set to color Lily’s skin. Included in the set are E000, E00, E11, E15, E18 and E93.

6pc Ciao Skin Set

If you’re new to coloring skin, this is a great beginner set as blending pairs have already been chosen for you. No guesswork! You can find many more Copic Ciao marker sets here.

Michele Boyer - Stamping Bella

Copic makers – BG10, BG11, C00, C1, E000, E00, E11, E70, E71, E74, E77, E79, G21, G24, G94, R00, R01

I used E000 as a base, then added depth/shading using E00 and E11.

The super cute sentiment is from Marching Chick stamp set.

So… I would like to share with one lucky winner a brand new Ciao Skin Set of six markers, 24 quarter-sheets of X-Press It Blending Card (24 pieces 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ each) and one package of X-Press It 1/4″ High Tack Double Sided Tape. I’ll also include my card. (Approximate Copic value, $40.)

I’ve used a variety of new dies in addition to There’s No Place Like Home stamp set.

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions

“HOME” was stamped in Pink Champagne and Potato Chip inks.

Next I used There’s No Place Like Home stamp set with Sitting Pretty dies.

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions

I cut a few strips of the heart banner from Skinny Mini Valentine Border and used the hearts to place inside each frame.

Home Sweet Home and Matchy Matchy (Taylored Expressions Previews, Day 3)

Hi everyone! It’s Day 3 of Taylored Expressions‘ March release previews! All new products will be available for purchase tomorrow at 7. a.m. PDT (10 a.m. EST). Today I’ve used two new die sets, both loads of fun! 🙂

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions

First I created this adorable little house/cottage using new Home Sweet Home and Home Sweet Home Accessories dies.

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions

It looks like a lot of work but it actually came together quite quickly. My husband was even impressed and asked that I create 20 more for his train layout. Umm…no, thanks.  😉   It really was a lot of fun to create. I used the door knob as centers for the little flowers and the “welcome mat” was stamped using a partial sentiment from There’s No Place Like Home.

Next I created a card using new Matchy Matchy stamp set and coordinating dies along with new Matchbox die.

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions I used the scalloped frame and curtains from Build a Scene Calendar 2 as a backdrop for my party squirrel.

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions

Copic markers – BG11, BG13, BG18, E29, E70, E71, E74, R00, R01, R81, R85, RV000, RV32, Y21, YG06, YG09, YR23

The Matchbox is super cute and perfect for holding any small gift (or the all-time favorite — cash)!  🙂

My Door is Always Open and Grouchy Grumplings 2 (Taylored Expressions Previews, Day 2)

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing a couple more cards using Taylored Expressions‘ March 9 release products.

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions

I had a lot of fun creating this card using several die sets from the Door to Door series. From the new Door to Door 2 set, I used the windowed door with the “hinge” which allows you to create a door which opens to reveal a sentiment.

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions

Inside my door, I stamped a sentiment from new Door to Door Sentiments. I used the right most flower from the hanging basket as well as the right edge of the plant to hold the door closed.

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions

Inside, I stamped the remainder of the sentiment.  🙂

Next, I used new Grouchy Grumpings 2. I just love these guys and their sarcasm/quirkiness.

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions I stamped the goat along with the baaaad mood sentiment. That was stamped in Sugar Cube ink and white embossed.

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions

Copic markers – BG11, R00, W00, W1, W2, W3

I used Build a Scene Rolling Hills and Farm Fence, and the cute Little Bits Barn and Silo dies, all framed in Stitched Frame Stacklets 1.
