I simply cannot (stamping bella)

This is me. The last two weeks of school.  I’m sure the kids feel the same (probably moreso).  We all just want it to be over.

Stamping Bella - Michele Boyer

Copic markers – BG10, BG13, BG15, BG18, E00, E01, E11, E31, E35, E47, R01, R29, R89, W00, W1, W2, Y21, YG03, YG06, YG17, YR23, 0.3 black Multiliner

The first time I saw this image, The Squidgy Who Couldn’t by Stamping Bella, I cracked up. And I knew I had to have her. (She still makes me laugh. Haha.)

I-Simply-Cannot-CU

To decorate her wall, I used Tiny Townie Room Decor Lamp & Frames, placing the chick from Tiny Townie Peyton Loves to Pretend within the oval frame. The flower in the other frame was doodled in with a multiliner pen. All images were colored with markers.

From Stamping Bella there is also The Chicks Who Couldn’t Even stamp set. Just as cute and funny. 🙂

Thanks so much for visiting today! I hope you stay off the floor.  🙂

It’s a New Day (paper smooches)

Hi everyone! I’m popping in today with a very quick and easy card using Triangle die from Paper Smooches May release.

Paper Smooches - Michele Boyer

Before adhering the white Triangle die cut, I did a bit of watercoloring with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I used Pale Green, Cobalt Blue, Pink and Yellow on a watercolor panel.

Paper Smooches - Michele Boyer

Once the triangle piece was adhered, I stamped and die-cut butterflies from New Beginnings stamp set (FREE for only a few more days, through May 31st with any $60 retail order).  I stamped a sentiment from New Beginnings 2 then adhered a few super-sparkly white Petite Posies from Queen & Company.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

More fun with Tommy Chalk Paint

Hi everyone. I thought I’d pop in once more to remind everyone of the Copic giveaway mentioned on THIS post. You have until 11:59 EST tonight (5/28) to leave a comment for the chance to win the Copic prize mentioned there.  🙂

I created another card using Tommy chalk paint, available from Imagination International, Inc. This time I added to the paint a bit of  Timbrillo.

Sending-Kindness-Tommy-500

Timbrillo is a pearlized liquid medium that creates a shimmery affect once mixed into the paint.

Sending-Kindness-Tommy-CU2

I mixed a bit into Pale Blue and Milk  then painted onto card stock. Once dried, I buffed with a paper towel to reveal soft sparkles.

Sending-Kindness-Tommy-CU1

The sparkles don’t show so well in the die-cut flowers (Bloomers by Taylored Expressions) above but there is a soft sparkle to each one. They’re really pretty.   I die-cut the branches/leaves from card stock painted Vintage Green. The sentiment is from Hero Art’s wonderful Acts of Kindness stamp set.

Don’t forget to leave a comment HERE for the chance to win a Copic Doodle Pack and sketch book. Deadline TONIGHT 11:59 EST.

Thanks so much for visiting!

Can’t Wait to See You (stamping bella)

**Copic hop is HERE**          **Paper Smooches hop is HERE**

TGIF! #fastestweekever  Seriously. There were simply not enough hours in the days or days in this last week. I’m so glad it’s almost over.

For this week’s challenge with Stamping Bella, I used Uptown Girl Tiffany Loves to Text.

Stamping Bella - Michele Boyer

We were to create using this photo as inspiration:

May 26

My first thought was to use an image with a bicycle, but I don’t have one. So instead I went with the group of flowers, wine and bread. 🙂

Stamping Bella - Michele Boyer

Copic markers – B14, BG13, BG15, BG18, E00, E01, E11, E31, E33, E35, E47, G21, G24, G28, R01, R29, R39, R59, W00, W1, W2, W7, Y19, Y21, YG17, YR23, 110

I stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copics. (Nothing new there. There are no words for how much I love my Copics.)  🙂

Next week’s challenge is to create anything you’d like. Use any current Stamping Bella image then email your card to [email protected] by next Thursday to be featured on the SB blog and to be entered to win some Bella Bucks! (All challenge details can be found HERE.)

A Warm Copic Welcome, a Fond Farewell, Hop and a prize!

Today the Copic design team is joining together for two reasons. (Three, if you count the hop prize but first a little info regarding why we are hopping.)

Today we wish to extend a very warm welcome to the a-MAZING-ly talented Jennifer Dove who has joined our teaching team. If you are unfamiliar with Jenn’s work, you must click over to her blog. (You will be there a while as it is truly amazing. She is SO talented!) We’re very excited to have her join us.

On a somewhat sad note, we bid a fond farewell to Lori Craig. I say “somewhat” because while Lori is leaving the teaching team, she is moving into a new position, representing Tommy Art for Imagination International, Inc. She won’t be far at all (and I’ll still be bugging her).  We wish her the very best in her new position!

Here’s a peek at something I created using Tommy Chalk-based Mineral Paints and Mixed Media Stencil Paste. (Also available are metallic paints as well as specialty products, additional pastes, coatings, waxes and varnishes.)

Sending-Hugs-500

I painted Pale Blue and Vintage Green Chalk Color onto white card stock then applied Stencil Paste over top. I wanted the die-cut “Sending” to match perfectly so I painted Vintage Green onto scrap card stock then die-cut the painted strip once dried. (It dries very quickly.)

Sending-Hugs-CU

Tommy Paint provides deep opacity with excellent coverage. Available in 40 colors (!), two sizes and the packaging is recyclable. That’s always a bonus. 🙂

5-24-giveaway

To celebrate our hop, we are giving away a new Copic small sketchbook and Doodle Pack. Please note that the color of the Doodle Pack MAY BE DIFFERENT. Simply hop along and comment on each post for a chance to win. Commenting closes 11:59 pm EST on Sunday, May 28. The winner will be announced Tuesday morning, May 30th on Michelle Houghton‘s blog. Here are your hop links:

One final note: You can find a list and description of available Copic classes for the remainder of the year HERE and schedule HERE.

Thanks so much for visiting and hopping today! ♥

Mr & Mrs (paper smooches)

Wedding cards don’t have to be super fancy or require a lot of time. Today I used new Mr. & Mrs. die from Paper Smooches to create a wedding congrats in just a few minutes.

Paper Smooches Mr & Mrs word die

I first die-cut the Mr. & Mrs.  Without adhering, I laid the die-cut in the center of my X-Press It Blending Card panel and lightly marked with a pencil just above and just below the words. I laid Post It tape across, at the marks, then stamped Blossoming Buds on each side.

Paper Smooches Mr & Mrs word die

Copic markers – G40, G43, G46, E35, V20, V22, V25, YR21, YR23

I removed the tape, colored with a small handful of Copic markers (listed above) and adhered the Mr. & Mrs. die-cut in the center. Very quick and easy. And pretty, I think. 🙂

Live Life in Full Bloom (stamping bella)

Hi everyone! Today I have a card to share using Stamping Bella‘s Tiny Townie Garden Girl Water Lily.

Copic Pink Doodle Pack/Tiny Town Garden Girl Waterlily, Stamping Bella

To color a major portion of Water Lily, I used Copic’s Pink Doodle Pack. Four-piece Doodle Packs are perfect mini-collections of Copic product, available in eight themed sets. Each set includes two Ciao markers, a coordinating atyouSpica glitter pen and a multiliner. They’re easy, affordable and a great way to try a variety of product!

Copic Pink Doodle Pack

I used the two pinks (R81 and R85) to color the dress, hat and shoes. Within the pink Doodle Pack is also one of my most used multiliners, Wine. It’s perfect for dotting freckles.

Waterlily Close-up

Copic markers – E00, E01, E11, E31, E35, G12, G14, G17, G28, R81, R85, W00, W1, Y21, YR23; 0.3 Wine Multiliner; Blossom atyou Spica glitter pen

Once colored, I used the Blossom atyou Spica glitter pen to add a fine shimmer to the dress and hat.

Live-Life-in-Full-Bloom2-500

If you’re looking for a way to try a variety of Copic product with the work of choosing coordinating product done for you, Doodle Packs are the way to go! I love my markers, glitter pens and multiliners! 🙂

A Pocketful of Thanks…and flowers (queen & company)

Hi everyone! Today I have two cards to share using Queen & Company’s pretty iridescent flowers. I probably don’t add flowers to my cards often enough so I welcomed the task.

Queen & Company - Michele Boyer

On my first card, I used yellow, pink and white iridescent flowers. I first stamped, embossed and die-cut a pocket (Paper Smooches Denim & Daisies, Pocket Dies) from Flirty Florals 6×6 Mat Stack then adhered it over striped and pink paper, also from Flirty Florals.

A-Pocketful-of-Thanks2-CU-500

I adhered the yellow and pink flowers using Scrap Happy Sheer Glue and the white flower using foam tape for a bit of added dimension. I die-cut and adhered leaves cut from green Picture Perfect patterned paper then added the white embossed/stamped sentiment. To add just a bit more interest, I glued several Fimo Fun pink and white hearts around the flowers and sentiment.

Hello-Flowers-500

Next I used pink iridescent flowers to embellish a Lines Foam Front Shaker kit. The foam front shaker kits are so much fun, and make shaker cards SO very easy. (They’re also addictive…)   After adhering the pre-cut foam front to the included card base, I filled the openings with pink, yellow and white Donut toppings. Once filled, I adhered the pre-cut acetate.

Hello-Flowers-CU-500

Using the coordinating Lines Foam Front die and Flirty Florals Mat Stack, I cut one cover from floral print paper and one from lightly patterned pink paper. The die-cut pink paper was adhered over the acetate and then, before adhering the floral paper, I trimmed just a bit away from each side, allowing the pink paper to show from beneath as a mat. The tag (Paper Smooches Quote Tag, Gift Tags, Hearts dies) was then assembled and tied to the card with flowers adhered using Scrap Happy Sheer Glue.

You can find all Queen & Company goodies HERE.  🙂

Thanks so much for visiting today!

I Love Hearing From You (stamping bella)

TGIF everyone! This week with Stamping Bella we were to use Kraft paper with our cards. I was not adventurous (at all), choosing only to use it as a base. But I used it!  🙂

Snail Mail Squidgies - Stamping Bella

These two cuties are Snail Mail Squidgies. I love the face on the bottom one. That attitude! Haha. You can find all of Stamping Bella’s Squidgies along with coordinating dies HERE.

Snail Mail Squidgies - Stamping Bella

Copic markers – BG32, BG34, E00, E01, E11, E13, E15, E18, E31, E33, E35, E43, E71, G20, G24, G46, R01, R20, R24, R29, R59, W00, W1, W2, W3, W7, Y21, YR21, YR23

I used scraps of patterned paper along the side and to paper-piece the dresses and colored the remainder of the image with Copic markers. Before adhering the image to the card front, I inserted two tiny black brads toward the top of the tab.

Next week we are to design using this photo as inspiration:

Use any current Stamping Bella image then email your card to [email protected] by next Thursday to be featured on the SB blog and to be entered to win some Bella Bucks! (All challenge details can be found HERE.)
