Congrats Grad

Hi everyone! Just popping in with a quick post of a grad card. I’ll be giving this one to my nephew in a few short weeks. How does time pass so quickly?? It’s actually kind of scary.

Paper Smooches Grad Cap die set, New Beginnings

I used Paper SmoochesNew Beginnings (free through May 31st with any $60 retail order) and Grad Cap die.

The frame was cut using new Rose Frame die (minus the rose), and Alphadot was used to create a quick personalization of the year.

Thanks so much for visiting! I’ll be back very soon!

may all your dreams come true (stamping bella)

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing another Stamping Bella image I colored during one of the recent 30-day Marker coloring challenges on Instagram.

Tiny Townie Dorothy the Dreamer - Stamping Bella

Tiny Townie Dorothy the Dreamer is all snuggled in with her book…and special friend. So cute.  🙂

Tiny Townie Dorothy the Dreamer - Stamping Bella

Copic markers – BG10, BG11, BG15, E00, E01, E11, E31, E35 E50, E53, R83, R85, RV11, RV32, W00, W1, W2, Y21, YG03, YG17, YR23

I stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card then colored with Copic markers. I added two die-cut flags and finished it off with a few Doodlebug matte sprinkles. (They’re really nice enamel dots with no shine. I love them.)

Thanks for visiting today. I’ll be back soon! 🙂

A Daisy Squidgy Birthday Greeting (stamping bella)

TGIF  everyone! For Stamping Bella‘s challenge this week I used one of the most adorable images from SB’s latest release, Daisy Squidgy.  I think she’s the cutest Squidgy from the bunch.  It’s my fave, for now anyway. Maybe only until I color the next one. 😉

Chatty Squidgy - Stamping Bella

The challenge was to create using this {Mojo}Bella sketch:

{Mojo}Bella Sketch

I stuck to it, turned it on it’s side, subbed a tag for the circle and added a fancy border around the main image.

Copic markers – E00, E01, E11, E31, E35, , G28, E43, E46, R00, R01, R24, R29, R59,W00, W1, W2, Y08, Y19, Y21, YR23

After stamping onto X-Press It Blending Card, I colored with Copic markers, adding dots to her dress using Opaque White and a toothpick. To adhere the tiny tag, I used X-Press It’s Foam Mounting Squares.

XP-Foam-Squares-500

The squares are available in both 1/2″  and 1/4″ featuring the same thickness (5/64″) as X-Press It’s popular foam mounting tape. They’re easy to peel, easy to apply and perfect for adding 3D effect.

Next week’s challenge is to incorporate kraft paper into our designs. Use any current Stamping Bella image then email your card to [email protected] by next Thursday to be featured on the SB blog and to be entered to win some Bella Bucks! (All challenge details can be found HERE.)

We Need to Catch Up (stamping bella)

Hi everyone! I’ve been trying to (somewhat) straighten my stamp room and in doing so, I found some images I had colored a while back that never made it onto a card. So today, I put one on a card.

Chatty Squidgy - Stamping Bella

This is Chatty Squidgy from Stamping Bella. I love her face. She’s so happy to be catching up with her friend. 🙂

We-Need-to-Catch-Up-CU

I stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copic markers. Those super sparkly glitter circles are new Donuts from Queen & Company. I ♥ them. They’re available in eight colors, all lovely (of course). 🙂

I will be back on Friday with my normal Stamping Bella post. Hope to see you then!

A Happy Mother’s Day Cactus

Hi everyone! I took a bit of time in my crazy schedule yesterday to create a quick Mother’s Day card. I adore this Stitched Cacti set by Waffle Flower. Perfect for my Arizona people! 🙂

Stitched Cacti, Waffle Flower

I love the different stamps used to create variation in one image. So creative! I think I might need the Stitched Rose set as well.  🙂

Stitched Cacti, Waffle Flower (close-up)

I used my handy dandy MISTI to align the x’s. I’m not sure I’d have the patience without that tool. It’s a life-saver. 🙂  The sentiment is from Precious Mom stamp set by Paper Smooches.

Thanks so much for visiting today!

Fun with Flowers

Hi everyone! I have two cards to share today using Queen & Company‘s super duper cute new Pom Flowers. They’re my favorite flowers ever. Each one is about 3/4″ wide and fluffs up to the perfect little mound of petals. Simply adorable. 🙂

Paper Smooches Enjoy the Show, Queen & Company flower embellishments

On my first card I used the flowers in lieu of balls for Paper Smooches‘ juggling clown from Enjoy the Show stamp set.

Copic markers – BG10, BV02, C00, C1, C2, R22, R24, R29, R59, V15, V17, Y15, Y18

After stamping and coloring the clown, I added thin strips of red Simple Stripes paper to add a bit more interest to the design.

Queen & Company Pom Flowers, paper/Paper Smooches (sentiment)

I used the same color combination of Pom Flowers on my second card to create a quick and easy all occasion card.

Queen & Company Pom Flowers, paper/Paper Smooches (sentiment) - close-up

Each of the striped strips, also from Simple Stripes Mat Stack, perfectly matches its cooresponding flower. The sentiment, from Paper Smooches’ Spectrum stamp set, was cut to a tag shape then tied with yellow Twine.

Thanks so much for visiting today! Have a great weekend!

Mason Jar of Flowers (stamping bella)

Hi everyone! It’s time for another challenge with Stamping Bella! Since it’s the first Friday of the month, the challenge is anything goes! Today the design team is also sharing projects using May’s Stamp of the Month, Mason Jar of Flowers. Through May 31st, this image with sentiment can be purchased at 20% off. There are coordinating dies for the image and sentiment which are on sale as well. 🙂

Mason Jar of Flowers - Stamping Bella

My image was stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copic markers. In my stash of patterned paper, I found a narrow strip of pink gingham which I thought would work perfectly along each edge of my card.

Copic markers – B0000, BG70, BV20, G28, G43, R35, R39, RV13, RV14, W00, W1, W3, W5

Taylored Expressions May Release Now Available

Hi everyone! I hope you’ve enjoyed the Taylored Expressions‘ May release previews over the last several days. All new stamps and dies are now available in the TE store. Before you head over, I have two more samples to share.

First, I used My Super Hero with Twinkle Twinkle Background and Downtown Border with new Downtown Border Underlay.

Taylored Expressions My Super Hero, Twinkle Twinkle Background

I like the look of the Twinkle Twinkle Background stamped on Earl Gray card stock with Sugar Cube ink. And the Downtown Border Underlay is awesome for quickly created lit (or colored) windows.

Copic markers – BG45, BG49, E00, E11, N9, R20, R29, R39, R89, Y38

After stamping and coloring the super hero, I used the included coordinating die and then popped him up on foam squares.

My next card is very simple. I didn’t want to add a lot of “stuff” since it’s for a fun-gi. 🙂

New Little Bits Mushrooms coordinate perfectly with a couple sentiments in new Punny Man 2 sentiment set.

Taylored Expressions Punny Man 2, Little Bits Mushrooms

Before assembling/adhering the mushrooms, I sponged a bit of Potato Chip ink in the background.

The mushrooms were adhered over a hill with the sentiment stamped in Sugar Cube ink and white embossed. Along the bottom, I added a Skinny Mini Border.

To see more projects, please head over to the TE Blog for a complete list of our designers. Also on the TE Blog today, you’ll find a list of winners from the preview posts. Maybe you are one of them!

Thanks so much for visiting!  🙂

Taylored Expressions Previews, Father’s Day and Cheesy Love

Hi everyone! Today I have two more cards to share using new releases from Taylored Expressions.  All new sets (stamps and dies) will be available for purchase tomorrow, May 4.

Taylored Expressions Simply Said Dad, Little Bits Hole in One

First, I used new Simply Said-Dad with Little Bits Hole in One to create a Father’s Day card for a golfing dad.

Taylored Expressions Simply Said Dad, Little Bits Hole in One

The sky was created by inking Salt Water Taffy over a die-cut strip of Cloud Border multiple times. I used Build a Scene Rolling Hills to cut the grass then stamped and white emobossed the sentiment. The flag pieces were each colored with Copic markers.

Next I used a fun new sentiment set, Punny Man 2. The set comes with six punny sayings which coordinate with various Little Bits sets.

Taylored Expressions Punny Man 2, Little Bits Mac & Cheese

I used the cheese part of Little Bits Mac & Cheese, die-cutting the “slices” from Lemon Meringue and Potato Chip card stock.

Using my MISTI, I easily stamped the sentiment in two colors, keeping the words perfectly aligned.

Taylored Expressions May Previews, Day 2

Hi everyone! I’m back today with two more samples using stamps and dies from Taylored Expressions‘ May 4 release.

Wagon Bouquet is among my favorites from the new release. The wagon reminds me of when my kids were small, although then it was full of kids and not flowers. Maybe some dirt and weeds. 🙂

Taylored Expressions Wagon Bouquet

I colored with Copic markers and threaded a bit of yellow twine around the handle.

Copic markers – BG78, E33, E35, E47, E77, E79, G12, G14, G28, R29, R39, R89, V22, V25, V28, V99, W1, W2, W7, Y21, YR12, YR18, 110

The wagon was die-cut then placed upon a strip of green patterned paper from Build a Scene 6″x 6″. The dotted yellow background is from Build a Scene as well.

Next I used a really fun new Police Cruiser die set along with Wee-ooh Wee-ooh sentiment set.

Taylored Expressions On the Road Police Crusier

The sentiment was placed within a strip cut using Let’s Talk Edger 1 with Celebration Confetti sprinkled around.

To complete my card, I added a Build a Scene Tree and Build a Scene Road.
