Taylored Expressions June Release Previews – Seas the Day!

Just in time for summer, Taylored Expressions‘ June 6 release is packed full of tropical and nautical themed goodness (with a few other surprises as well).

Today I used new Little Bits Helm die along with my favorite TE character, Little Bits Fox.

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions

The fox is decked out in his new designer Little Bits Sunglasses. They’re a perfect fit and he is looking quite swanky!

I used new Little Bits Life Preserver to create the port hole and Know the Ropes embossing folder for a bit of added texture.

Next, I used new On the Water Sailboat with a sentiment from Go Beep stamp set.

The Stitched Cloud Duo, along with a Stitched Circle and Stitched Frame are the perfect surrounding accessories!

I used Build a Scene Rolling Hills for the water, another sentiment from Go Beep and a tiny star from Starry Night Cutting Plate. I’ve used this cutting plate quite often throughout my release samples. I love that the die creates several sizes of stars at one time. I die-cut a block of card stock, use whatever I need of that color and slip the remaining card stock/stars in the envelope with the die for future use. So handy and perfect for so many occasions!

Taylored Expressions is celebrating Release Week with some fabulous giveaways! Visit the TE Blog to answer Taylor’s Question of the Day for a chance to win a prize from the latest release!

Love You (paper smooches)

Hi everyone! I’m popping in quickly to share a card I created using new Garden Greetings from Paper Smooches.

Garden Greetings - Paper Smooches

Garden Greetings is this month’s TAM (or Thanks a Million) set which means it is free to you with any $60 retail purchase placed by June 30th.  The set includes seven main images and two accents. (The word “you” was stamped from new Kindness Sampler.)

Garden Greetings - Paper Smooches

Copic markers – BG10, BG11, E40, E42, E43, R24, R29, R59, W00, W1, Y21, YG91, YG93, YG95, YG97, YR21, YR23

Each of the letters in “love” are separate stamps so they can be arranged in any way. I stamped each onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copic markers, stamped and colored the bee then added a die-cut Tiny Heart at the end of the bee trail. (This set is adorable!) 🙂

New Pretty Presents Card Kit

Hi everyone! Today I have two cards to share using Queen & Company‘s newest kit – Pretty Presents. The kit includes stamps, dies, coordinating foam and acetate shapes, toppings, a 6″ x 6″ paper pad and a reusable storage envelope. All you need is base card stock, ink  and adhesive!

Queen & Company Pretty Presents

The toppings in this kit are a-DOR-able! Look at those teeny tiny bows! I love them.

Queen & Company Pretty Presents

On my second card I used the tiny square cut-outs created after die-cutting the pink and yellow gifts on my first card.

Queen & Company Pretty Presents

I actually got the idea when I saw a tiny bow lying on top of one of the squares in the mess on my work table. Instead tiny present (x 9)!

You can find more samples throughout the month by checking the Queen & Company blog. Lots of fun stuff! 🙂

Ellie Loves Phant (stamping bella)

TGIF!  (Seriously.) 🙂

Last week’s challenge with Stamping Bella was to create anything at all. Today the design team is using the June stamp of the month, “Ellie” Loves “Phant” Stuffies, 20% off through June 30. (If you like Ellie and Phant, you might want to check out additional Stuffies here.)

Stamping Bella - Michele Boyer

I stamped the image onto a block of X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copic markers. To create the slight bit of blue around the image, I first applied BG70, beginning at the image’s outline then feathering out with very light strokes. I applied Colorless Blender, “coloring” in circles all around the BG70 edges to create the soft fade. Right next to the image, mostly in “corners,” I added bits of BG10, blending those edges with BG70 and then the Colorless Blender once more.

Copic markers – BG10, BG70, G20, G21, G24, R00, R01, W00, W1, W2, W3, W4

The super cool embellishment is a red Lollie from Queen & Company. (I love them.)

Next week’s challenge includes this {Mojo}Bella sketch:

June 9

Use any current Stamping Bella image then email your card to [email protected] by next Thursday to be featured on the SB blog and to be entered to win some Bella Bucks! (All challenge details can be found HERE.)

Thanks so much for stopping by! 🙂
