Shaped Shaker Tags (Queen & Company)

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing two fun tags I created using Queen & Company’s Shaped Shaker Tags. Shaker cards are fun. Why not tags too!  🙂  The set includes three dies and nine pre-cut foam and acetate shapes to create tags for any occasion!

My first tag is a cute snowman using the circle tag shape.

I first die-cut a plain circle to use as the backing. After adhering the light blue center and pre-cut foam, I placed white donuts and clear and blue diamonds  inside. (Diamonds are my favorite of the shaker toppings. They’re SO sparkly!) The hat is simply a rectangle of black card stock with a thin strip along the bottom as a brim. I adhered a strip of double-sided tape just about the brim then wrapped red twine to create a hat band. On the band, I adhered a red Pom flower. You can see all of the super cute Pom flowers HERE.)

The eyes and buttons were created using the negative space from the die (string hole), and the nose and smile are from Snowman 2 by Paper Smooches.

The snowman’s head is only attached to the box with the red twine so it’s free to swing/move. On the back, I adhered another circle stamped with “To” and “From.”  That cute stamp is from Special Delivery by Taylored Expressions.

Next, I created a tag used to embellish a small “welcome home” gift bag.

To create a backing/base for the tag, I simply traced the shape (minus the thread hole) onto card stock, cut along the lines and adhered the foam shape. After die-cutting the tag shape, I sponged the inside piece with Distress Oxide inks, splashed a bit of water to create the spots then adhered that piece to the base. I stamped the sentiment (from retiring Welcome Home stamp set by Taylored Expressions) , adhered a die-cut heart (from Paper Smooches Hearts dies) then adhered the foam shape and sprinkled in an assortment of Matte Pearlies.

After adhering the acetate and tag border, I adhered a stamped, colored and die-cut chick (from Stamping Bella‘s Succulent Chicks) then tied my tag to the bag with natural hemp cord.
