Birthday YAY (paper smooches)

Hi everyone! Today I have a cute monster card to share using stamps and dies from Paper Smooches‘ latest release.

Birthday-YAY-500

I die-cut the Monster from both blue and white card stock then assembled him over a lightly sponged background.

Birthday-YAY-CU

The confetti pieces are also part of the Monster die set so all the dies I used are from the one set. The sentiment is from new Daily Diary. Perfect for planner lovers, the set includes 40 words and phrases. (That’s a lot!)

Thanks for stopping by today. 🙂

TGIF (stamping bella)

Hi everyone. As I type this, all I can think about is Hurricane Irma. We were just in St. Marten and St. Thomas two weeks ago. So much beauty, now demolished. It is heartbreaking.  I feel so very badly for all of those affected. And now moving on to Florida. Truly awful, and so very scary. Please be safe, my Florida friends.  ♥

It’s time for another {mojo}bella sketch with Stamping Bella.  This week I used Screamy Squidgy. So many possibilities. Haha. The stamp set comes with the image I used below as well as a mini size that is perfect for decorating envelopes, planners or for use inside a card. The bubbles are empty so the squidgy can scream anything you’d like.  🙂

Stamping Bella Screamy Squidgy

Here’s the sketch we were to use:

Sept 8

I love sketch challenges. 🙂

As always, I used Copic markers to color my image. Within the speech bubble, I placed die-cut letters, cut using Taylored Expressions’ Mini Caps Alpha & #’s dies.

Next week’s challenge is to create your own background. Use any current Stamping Bella image then email your card to [email protected] by next Thursday to be featured on the SB blog and to be entered to win some Bella Bucks! (All challenge details can be found HERE.

Taylored Expressions September Release Now Available!

Hi everyone!  All of Taylored Expressionsnew release products are now available! But before you shop, I have two more samples to share.

Taylored Expressions Blooms Overlay

First I created a birthday card using Blooms Overlay and new Happy Script. The flowers also layer perfectly over those found on new Sympathy Blooms Cutting Plate.

Taylored Expressions Blooms Overlay (close-up)

After adhering the Happy Script die-cut and stamping “birthday” from Another Year Older,  I adhered a few Posies from Queen & Company.

Next I created a cute dino birthday card using new Peek-a-Boo Birthday and Number Balloons.

Taylored Expressions Peek-a-Boo Birthday

I centered the dino within an Egg Stacklet then tied a Number Balloon to his tail.

The sentiment was stamped in Oreo and Sweet Basil ink. (The MISTI makes duo colored sentiments so very easy to stamp since there is no moving of the stamp or card stock. I’m not sure how I survived without my MISTI.)

Taylored Expressions September Previews – Day 1 B is for Birthday

Hi everyone! It’s the first day of Taylored Expressions‘ September 7 release previews! It’s also TE’s NINTH birthday, so there’s a lot of partying going on. Be sure to read to the end and also check out all party details on the TE Blog.

My first card today features new Simply Said Birthday, Free Fall Background, Number Balloons and Balloon Strings dies.

Taylored Expressions Birthday Balloons and Strings

I first sponged my background using Lemon Meringue, Candy Corn and Lollipop inks. Then I used Sugar Cube pigment ink to stamp Free Fall Background.

Taylored Expressions Birthday Balloons and Strings (close-up)

To create the super sparkly balloons, I adhered Sugar Cube and Lemon Meringue card stock to an X-Press It Double-sided Adhesive Sheet.  Laying the dies on the adhesive side, I die-cut the numbers, removed the release sheet to reveal the super sticky adhesive, then dumped glitter over top. I pressed a bit with my fingers to ensure the pieces were covered with glitter then tapped off the excess.

Next, I created a fun shaker birthday card using new B is for Birthday.

Taylored Expressions B is for Birthday

I stamped the image onto white card stock then colored with Copic markers and added dots using Copic’s Opaque White. I double-stacked a border of foam tape and sprinkled inside some Queen & Company Fimo Fun and Sprinkles toppings.

Copic markers – B02, B04, B06, R24, R29, W00, W1, Y06, Y08

After adhering the acetate cover, I adhered a frame cut from Rainbow Brights patterned paper then added a couple flags and Enamel Shapes.

Head on over to the TE Blog to check out the 9th birthday celebration festivities! Get in on a fun challenge where you could win a fabulous prize package OR become a guest designer for the October Release!

Shaped Shaker Tags (Queen & Company)

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing two fun tags I created using Queen & Company’s Shaped Shaker Tags. Shaker cards are fun. Why not tags too!  🙂  The set includes three dies and nine pre-cut foam and acetate shapes to create tags for any occasion!

My first tag is a cute snowman using the circle tag shape.

Shaker-Tag-1-500

I first die-cut a plain circle to use as the backing. After adhering the light blue center and pre-cut foam, I placed white donuts and clear and blue diamonds  inside. (Diamonds are my favorite of the shaker toppings. They’re SO sparkly!) The hat is simply a rectangle of black card stock with a thin strip along the bottom as a brim. I adhered a strip of double-sided tape just about the brim then wrapped red twine to create a hat band. On the band, I adhered a red Pom flower. You can see all of the super cute Pom flowers HERE.)

Shaker-Tag-1-CU500

The eyes and buttons were created using the negative space from the die (string hole), and the nose and smile are from Snowman 2 by Paper Smooches.

Shaker-Tag-1-Back-500

The snowman’s head is only attached to the box with the red twine so it’s free to swing/move. On the back, I adhered another circle stamped with “To” and “From.”  That cute stamp is from Special Delivery by Taylored Expressions.

Supplies: Queen & Company Shaped Shaker Tags, Donuts, Diamonds, Red Pom Flower, Red Twine, Scrap Happy Sheer Glue; Paper Smooches Snowman 2, Taylored Expressions Special Delivery, Oreo, Salt Water Taffy, Candy Corn and Sugar Cube card stock, Cherry Pop ink; X-Press It 1/8″ double-sided tape; box (Michaels)

Next, I created a tag used to embellish a small “welcome home” gift bag.

Queen & Company Shaker Tag Kit

Copic markers – BG13, BG15, BG23, BG34, E07, E09, R01, R22, R24, Y21, YG03, YR21, YR23

To create a backing/base for the tag, I simply traced the shape (minus the thread hole) onto card stock, cut along the lines and adhered the foam shape. After die-cutting the tag shape, I sponged the inside piece with Distress Oxide inks, splashed a bit of water to create the spots then adhered that piece to the base. I stamped the sentiment (from retiring Welcome Home stamp set by Taylored Expressions) , adhered a die-cut heart (from Paper Smooches Hearts dies) then adhered the foam shape and sprinkled in an assortment of Matte Pearlies.

Shaker-Tag-2-500

After adhering the acetate and tag border, I adhered a stamped, colored and die-cut chick (from Stamping Bella‘s Succulent Chicks) then tied my tag to the bag with natural hemp cord.

Supplies: Queen & Company Shaped Shaker Tags, Matte Pearlies, Scrap Happy Sheer Glue; Stamping Bella Succulent Chicks; Taylored Expressions Welcome Home, Oreo ink, Sugar Cube card stock; Ranger Broken China and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide ink, blending tool, Copic markers.

Queen & Company’s Shaped Shaker Tag Kit is a great (and easy) way to dress up any gift. Foam refills are available HERE and you can find all of their super cool shaker toppings HERE.

Hi everyone! TGIF, which means it’s time for another challenge with Stamping Bella!  Last week’s challenge was free form (or “anything goes”). Stamping Bella Tiny Townie "Autumn Loves Autumn"

I stamped Autumn onto X-Press It Blending Card then colored with Copic markers.

Stamping Bella Tiny Townie "Autumn Loves Autumn" (close-up)

Copic markers – BG70, BG72 (custom), E00, E01, E07, E08, E11, E13, E15, E18, E30, E31, E33, E35, E40, E41, E42, E43, R01, W00, Y38, YG63, YG67, YR23
