Happy New Year!

Hi everyone! Since tomorrow will be a busy day, I wanted to pop in today to wish my friends a Happy New Year! While my day may be busy, I’ll be welcoming 2018 very quietly, at home. (One of my favorite places to be.)  🙂

Stamping Bella Uptown Girl Opal the Optimist

Stamping Bella‘s Uptown Girl Opal the Optimist is perfect for ringing in the new year. She’s one of my faves and accompanied by the perfect sentiment. I know that sometimes it’s difficult to be positive, especially during very difficult or trying times, but even bad days have their blessings. We just need to be willing to see them.

Copic markers – BG10, BG70, E00, E01, E11, E13, E31, E35, E37, E50, E51, E53, G29, R01, R02, R39, R59, R83, R85, RV11, RV32, W00, W1, W2, Y21, YG17, YG97, YG99, YR14, YR23

After coloring with markers, I added subtle sparkle to Opal’s dress with a clear Wink of Stella pen then added a bit of Queen & Company bling.

Thank you so much for visiting. May your new year be filled with many blessings!  XX

Once stamped, I adhered the panel to a card base using foam tape then tied a bit of pink string along the side.

Happy Birthday (paper smooches)

Hi everyone! I’m popping in today to share a quick and easy card I created using the latest release from Paper Smooches.

HB-Wine-Dies-500

I used new Wine dies to die-cut glasses from Queen & Company‘s lovely Flirty Florals patterned paper. I also die-cut from X-Press It’s 1″ Copper Glitter Deco Tape. It’s a shame the photo looks more like sand paper. In person, it is super sparkly and very pretty.

HB-Wine-Dies-CU

The sentiment is from new All Year Cheer stamp set, this month’s TAM, or Thanks a Million, stamp set FREE with any $60 retail order through December 31st. I stamped in Versamark then embossed with copper embossing powder. I used a Chocolate atyouSpica glitter pen to add the fizz dots above the glasses.

Thanks so much for visiting today! I’ll be back soon. 🙂

Warm Wishes (stamping bella)

Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by today. I know it’s a super busy time for all so I appreciate your time and interest.  🙂

It’s another Bellarific Friday with Stamping Bella. I’ve used Tiny Townie Skylar Loves to Skate and Holiday Sentiment Set.

Stamping Bella - Tiny Townie Skylar Loves to Skate

We were to create using the photo below as inspiration.

Dec 22

After coloring my image with markers, I added a few tiny die-cut snowflakes and a strip of pompoms (which are technically flowers) to resemble the lights in the photo. The die-cut was white then also colored with markers.

Stamping Bella - Tiny Townie Skylar Loves to Skate (close-up)

Copic markers – BG70, BG72 (custom), E00, E01, E11, E31, E35, E37, E40, E41, E42, E43, E44, E47, W00, W1, W2, Y21

We’re taking a small break next week with no challenge. For January 5, create anything at all using a current Stamping Bella image.  If you’d like, email your card to [email protected] by Thursday, January 4 to be featured on the SB blog. By doing so, you’ll also be entered to win some Bella Bucks! (All challenge details can be found HERE.)

Lean on Me (stamping bella)

Hi everyone! While I have a moment, I wanted to pop in to share a card I created using one of Stamping Bella‘s new Uptown Girls Snapshots sets.

Stamping Bella Snapshots Lean on Me

This image is so very sweet. I love the sentiment too. (And now that song can be stuck in your head too!)  🙂

Stamping Bella Snapshots Lean on Me (close-up)

Copic markers – BG11, BG13, BG15, BG18, BG70, C00, C1, C2, E000, E00, E01, E11, E31, E35, E37, R01, R83, R85, RV11, RV32, Y21

I stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card then colored with Copics. Once the snapshot was cut out and adhered over a bit of patterned paper, I added the subtle detail of small die-cut hearts.

I’ll be back on Friday with my weekly challenge card.  🙂  Thanks for stopping by!

Let’s Wine Together (paper smooches)

Hi everyone! I hope your holiday season is happy so far.  🙂

Today I have a card to share using stamps and dies from Paper Smooches latest release.

Paper Smooches Wine Sampler and Wine dies

I created a fun table setting using new Wine Sampler and Wine Dies.

Paper Smooches Wine Sampler and Wine dies

I used my MISTI to simply stamp the sentiment in two colors. The wine bottle has a little rim at the top as well as a cork. I die-cut the cork from X-Press It’s new Cork Deco Tape.  (The wine portion of the glasses was cut by hand.)  Together, the stamp set and dies are a perfect combination.

Beneath the gingham, I added a die-cut Deco Edge, perfect for creating a simple “tablecloth” border.

Thanks so much for visiting! I’ll be back soon.  🙂

Queen & Company Foam Front Shakers

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing a couple more cards created using items from Queen & Company’s amazing Black Friday Sale! Yes, the sale goes on (while supplies last)!

My first card uses the Hearts Foam Front Card kit which is part of the Special Foam Front Bundle.

Queen & Company Hearts Foam Front Shaker Kit

I used my favorite patterns from Flirty Florals paper pad. The sweet flowers and pink gingham are the perfect girly combination. (This is seriously my favorite paper pad ever. I adore the colors and small floral prints.)

Queen & Company Hearts Foam Front Shaker Kit

Inside the heart openings, I placed a combination of Fimo Fun, Pops, Diamonds and Posies toppings. As a little extra embellishment, I adhered a few pink Posies outside of the shaker openings, secured with Scrap Happy Sheer Glue.

“Miss You” is one of seven words/phrases found in Word Dies Assortment 1.  (You can find a second set of word dies HERE.) I die-cut the sentiment from the same darker pink patterned paper used inside the heart shaker openings.

Supplies:  Hearts Foam Front Card kit (Special Foam Front Bundle), Flirty Florals paper pad, Fimo Fun, Pops, Diamonds and Posies, Word Dies Assortment 1, Scrap Happy Sheer Glue

Queen & Company Circle Foam Front Shaker Kit

Next, I created another Miss You card, this time using the Circle Foam Front Shaker kit, which is also part of the Special Foam Front Bundle. Using my paper trimmer, I removed a bit from all four sides of the foam then adhered it to a panel of lightly patterned blue paper (also from Flirty Florals).  I placed a combination of white and ivory Matte Pearlies toppings in the opening then added the acetate cover (which also required a bit of trimming).

Queen & Company Circle Foam Front Shaker Kit

I sized the card cover to match the foam then adhered the card cover, sun, clouds and Word Dies.  I tied a bit of Black Twine to the left side with a button secured within the bow. The button is part of the Holiday Binder which includes eight colors of buttons, rhinestones, rhinestone flowers, pearls, organizer pages and, of course, the binder.

To add just a bit more detail to my card, I used a thin black marker to doodle faux stitches around three sides then used a white opaque pen to add bits of outline to the die-cut sentiment.

Supplies: Circle Foam Front Shaker kit (Special Foam Front Bundle), Flirty Florals, Matte Pearlies, Word Dies 1, Black Twine, button (Holiday Binder), Scrap Happy Sheer Glue

Be sure to check out the Black Friday Sale while supplies last!

Thanks for visiting!

Merriest Wishes (stamping bella)

Hi everyone. It’s another Bellarific Friday with Stamping Bella. Last week we were asked to create with a Winter White theme. I pulled together a few different Little Bits sets to create a fun scene.  (Maybe not fun for the reindeer rolling down the hill…)

Stamping Bella Little Bits Santa Kids & Pets, Santa's Gifts and Winter Tree & Deerball

The girl is from Little Bits Santa Kids & Pets, the deer ball from Winter Tree & Deer Ball, and tiny worried deer from Santa’s Gifts. The tiny deer are so cute, but the one in the ball of snow cracks me up. I’m not sure if the girl pushed that one down the hill or if she’s trying to save him. Either way, he’s in for a ride.  🙂

Stamping Bella Little Bits Santa Kids & Pets, Santa's Gifts and Winter Tree & Deerball

Copic markers – BG10, C00, C1, E00, E01, E11, E31, E33, E35, E37, E47, R29, R39

To create the hills, I die-cut snow drifts and trees then added just a touch of Copic BG10 to add a little dimension and help the drifts stand out from one another.

Next week’s challenge is to create using the photo below as inspiration.

Dec 22

If you’d like, email your card to [email protected] by next Thursday to be featured on the SB blog. By doing so, you’ll also be entered to win some Bella Bucks! (All challenge details can be found HERE.)

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Wine. Right Now.

Hi everyone.  I’ve had a hard time getting into the holiday spirit this year and I found a stamp, from Stamping Bella‘s latest release, that is perfect for the occasion.

Stamping Bella Uptown Girls Witney & Wendy Love Wine

See, that’s me on the right.  Glass ready. Waiting to be topped off.  🙂  Actually they are Uptown Girls Witney & Wendy Love Wine.  But perfect, yes?

Stamping Bella Witney & Wendy Love Wine (close-up)

Copic markers – BG09, BG11, BG13, BG15, BG18, C00, C1, C2, E00, E01, E11, E31, E33, E35, E37, G28, G46, R39, R83, R85, R89, RV32, Y21, YG17; Copic Opaque White

I only stamped a portion of the image, using a post it note to mask off the bottom of the stamp. After coloring with Copic markers, I used Copic’s Opaque White and a toothpick to add dots to the dress on the left.

Thanks for visiting today. I’ll be back soon. Hopefully whistling Jingle Bells.  Today, not so much.

Merry Everything! (stamping bella)

Hi everyone! Welcome to another Bellarific Friday with Stamping Bella! As we’re inching closer to Christmas, I thought I’d squeeze in another holiday card. Today I’ve used Tiny Townie Rita & the Reindeer.

Stamping Bella Rita and the Reindeer

For the challenge, we were to use this sketch as inspiration:

Dec 8

I pretty much followed it. My hanging flag is just shifted a bit.  🙂

Stamping Bella Rita and the Reindeer (close-up)

Copic markers – E00, E01, E11, E31, E33, E34, E35, E37, E59, G46, G94, G99, R01, R24, R29, R39, R59, N7, N9, W00, W1, W2, W3, W4, W5, Y21, YR23, YR24

I colored with Copic markers (listed above) and white embossed the sentiment from Holiday Sentiment Set.
