thanks so much (paper smooches)

Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping in! My card today uses one of my favorite word dies and pretty Best Buds flowers by Paper Smooches.

Paper Smooches Best Buds

My color choices were based on those thin slivers of patterned paper you see peeking out from the left and right sides. I truly love Echo Park’s Have Faith patterned paper. The thin strips were scraps I just couldn’t throw away.

Copic markers – BG10, E33, E35, G94, G99, R39, R83, R85, RV11, RV32, YG63

I colored with markers, die-cut the image with it’s coordinating die then adhered over a sponged background. “Thanks” and the heart from Thanks so Much were die-cut from dark gray card stock, adhered and traced over with Glossy Accents. “So much” was stamped from All Year Cheer.

I’ll be back soon!  Have a great day!

You’re Fintastic (paper smooches)

Hi everyone. Today I’m off to the ocean!  Not really. That would be nice though. Haha.  On my card today I’ve used Briny Blue along with Ocean Scene dies by Paper Smooches.

Paper Smooches Briny Blue

After stamping the images, I colored with markers and added a sprinkling of Kirarina Wink White dots. There is a Briny Blue coordinating four-die set but I don’t happen to have that one so I fussy-cut each image.

Copic markers – BG11, BG13, R83, R85, RV11, RV32, V15, Y21, YG03, YG06, YR23, Kirarina Wink White Pearl

Before creating/adhering my scene, I sponged a wavy background using Taylored Expressions’ Go with the Flow stencil. In addition to the fish, I added a few Ocean Scene plants, coloring each with markers then a clear Wink of Stella glitter brush. (“You’re” was stamped from Surf & Turf set.)

Love You Moo & Moo (paper smooches)

Hi everyone! I have a little bit of farm love/humor today.  🙂  I’ve used Paper Smooches‘ cute Green Acres stamp set with coordinating dies.

Paper Smooches Green Acres

The images were stamped then colored with Copic markers. I stamped the wheat, colored and cut out with scissors (as there is no die for that).  The hills (or Snow Drifts) were die-cut from Doodlebug Design’s Down of the Farm, *really* cute patterned paper, and the sentiment was white embossed.

Copic markers – B23, B93, B95, BG11, E01, E11, E18, E35, R01, R02, R29, R89, Y21, YR23, 110

Once the scene was assembled, I die-cut a few Tiny Hearts and adhered as musical notes coming from the little bird.  🙂

As a reminder, you can get any Paper Smooches stamp set valued at $14.99 or less for FREE with any $60 retail order. Simply list your chosen set in the comments section at check out.

Thanks (stamping bella)

Hello everyone! My card today features one of my favorites from Stamping Bella‘s Squidy category, Daisy Squidgy.  🙂

Stamping Bella Daisy Squidgy

After coloring with Copic markers, I added tiny dots to her dress with a Kirarina Wink White Pearl glitter pen. I highly recommend the Kirarina Wink pens for adding detail or even coloring small areas, anything really, on darker colors. The ink is 100% opaque and leaves just a tiny bit of texture.

Copic markers – BG10, BG11, BG70, BG96, BG99, E000, E00, E01, E11, E31, E35, E39, E44, E59, G43, G46, R01, W00, W1, W2, Y21, YR23, Kirarina Wink White Pearl pen

Once complete, I adhered the panel to yellow dotted paper from Echo Park’s Have Faith paper pad. The tiny hearts are by Doodlebug Design. (ou’ll see lots of them on my future cards. I love them!

All Boxed Up (stamping bella)

Hello! It’s Friday…again!  I am so very busy right now, each week seems like a day. It’s C-R-A-Z-Y!

Since it’s the first Friday of the month, it’s time to reveal a new Stamp of the Month with Stamping Bella. Through June 30, All Boxed Up from the Bella 2.0 collection is available at 20% off.

Stamping Bella All Boxed Up (Bella 2.0 Collection)

I stamped my Bella onto X-Press It Blending Card then colored the girl and tissue paper with Copic markers. I wanted a bit of pattern on the box and bow so I paper-pieced those portions with Doodlebug Design’s Hello patterned paper.

Stamping Bella All Boxed Up (close-up)

Copic markers – BG09, BG57, C00, C1, C2, C3, C5, C6, E00, E01, E11, E30, E31, E35, E47, R02, R21, R81, R83, R85, RV17, Y21

Once the patterned pieces were cut out and adhered over the stamped image, i added shadow using cool gray Copics.

NEXT WEEK’S CHALLENGE

Use a vintage Stamping Bella image, meaning one NOT from the current/most recent release. Ric Rac Rainbows and Halo Buds (Queen & Company)

Hello everyoneToday I’m sharing two cards using some of Queen & Company‘s fab new embellishments! There are sooo many fun choices. Today I’ve used some new fibers and new shiny bling.  : )

Sunshine-Ric-Rac-500

Using the Rainbow Foam Front Shaker kit as inspiration, I created a Ric Rac rainbow using pink, green, blue and purple. At the end of the rainbow is a cloud shaker from Spring Shaped Shaker Kit.

I adhered the ric rac with super sticky double-sided tape, trimmed the left edges and marked the cloud ends lightly with a pencil, using the cloud shape as a guide. I trimmed the ends with sharp scissors then adhered the cloud foam shape.

Sunshine-Ric-Rac-500-CU

After filling the cloud with Sequins and Jewels, I stamped a Spring clear stamp sentiment in the corner.  Once assembled, I adhered the completed panel to bright pink dotted paper from new Birthday Bash paper pad.

Supplies: Pink, Green, Blue and Purple Ric Rac, Birthday Bash paper pad, Spring Shaped Shaker kit, Spring clear stamps, Sequins, Jewels

Next, I created a pattern of small flower buds using new Purple Halos and tiny die-cut leaves.

Hello-Halos-500

The new Halos are available in seven colors, all super-sparkly.

I adhered three rows of three then added tiny die-cut leaves (from Paper Smooches Flowers 2), cut from Picture Perfect patterned paper.

Hello-Halos-500-CU

Once the Halos and leaves were assembled, I adhered the panel to a block of purple Delight Dots patterned paper then again onto a white card base.  To finish my card, I added a die-cut hello sentiment (from Simon Says Stamp Handlettered Greetings).

Supplies: Purple Halos, Delightful Dots paper pad, Picture Perfect paper pad, Sheer Glue
