May All Your Dreams Come True (stamping bella)

Hi everyone! TGIF (longest week ever). It’s another Bellarific Friday with Stamping Bella! Today I used Edna the Everything Fairy. She comes along with coordinating stamps of a cupcake, a glass of wine, a tooth, a glass slipper (or high heel pump) and the sentiment I’ve used here. It’s a cute set.  :)  You can see all Edna sets HERE.

Stamping Bella Edna the Everything Fairy

We were to work with this photo as inspiration:

small-Sept-22

I colored Edna earlier this month as part of the current  #thedailymarker30day coloring challenge hosted by Kathy Rascoosin (who just happens to be with Stamping Bella this weekend. Lucky, lucky folks there). I post all of my coloring (and more) on Instagram @SHEL9999. If you’d like to see all of my work in one easy place, that’s the spot.  :)

I haven’t had much of an opportunity to participate in Kathy’s challenge this go around but I hope to squeeze in a bit before the end of the month. (I have been doing a ton of coloring. I just can’t share quite yet.)  :)

Copic markers – B0000, B00, C1, C2, C3, E00, E01, E11, E30, E31, E35, E37, R01, R02, R29, R39, R81, R83, R85, RV32, V12, V15, V17, Y18, Y21, YR15

Edna and her cupcake were stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card then colored with Copic markers.

Next week’s challenge is to incorporate “chocolate” into/onto our cards. Use any current Stamping Bella image then email your card to emily@stampingbella.com by next Thursday to be featured on the SB blog and to be entered to win some Bella Bucks! (All challenge details can be found HERE.

Thanks, I Couldn’t Have Done it Without You (taylored expressions)

Hi everyone. Today I’m sharing a card I created using several Little Bits and Build A Scene dies from Taylored Expressions.

Taylored Expressions farm scene using Little Bits dies

Of all the Little Bits, I especially like the barn, silo and tractor. They’re so cute. :) All are adhered over Rolling Hills and Farm Fences.

Block Party-Thanks was die-cut and placed over patterned paper with a line from Graphic Greetings-Thankful stamped below.

I may send this card to my husband’s aunt and uncle who live on a farm. I’m sure they will have an opportunity to use it.  :)

Thanks for visiting today.

More Shaped Shaker Tags from Queen & Company

Hi everyone!  I’ve been having more fun with Queen & Company’s Shaped Shaker Tags, this time creating with a Halloween theme.

Queen & Company Shaped Shaker Tag

Copic markers – YG0000, YG00, C00

On my first card, I used the round Shaped Shaker Tag to create a timepiece. Inside, I placed an orange circle die-cut from Delightful Dots Mat Stack then sprinkled in super sparkly orange Diamonds. Over the acetate, I adhered two arrows to resemble clock hands then added the purple die-cut shape.

Trick-or-Treat-Inside-Pieces-Small

After removing the inside foam from any shaker pieces (shown above), I always tuck them inside the storage pouch to use as foam squares. Since my left ghost extends past the edge of the shaker element, I needed a foam piece to lift the left side of the ghost to the same height as the shaker. A portion of that left-over foam is the perfect solution! (I used a portion of the leftmost foam shown above. I’m saving the rest!)

Taylored Expressions "Be Somebody"

Once my card was assembled, I chose some yellow star Sequins to embellish the black sky and tied a bit of Orange Sparkle String in the top of the tag.

Queen & Company supplies:  Shaped Shaker Tag, Sequins, Diamonds, Delightful Dots Mat Stack, Orange Sparkle String, Scrap Happy Sheer Glue

Other supplies: Taylored Expressions Be Somebody stamp/die combo, Starry Night Cutting Plate, Sitting Pretty Nautical (arrow dies), Oreo and Sugar Cube ink, Oreo and Sugar Cube card stock; X-Press It Blending Card, Copic markers, white embossing powder.

Next I created two tags to tie onto a goody bag.

Queen & Company Shaped Shaker Tag

Inside the top tag I placed a block of green Dot Paper then sprinkled an assortment of Sequins and Diamonds. Using black Stazon ink, I stamped the sentiment directly onto the acetate. Once the ink was dried, I adhered the acetate over the toppings then added the purple frame.

Beneath the purple/green tag, I tied a clear tag with a few star Sequins placed between two layers of acetate.

Tomb-it-May-Concern-500

To create the clear tag, I cut two pieces of acetate in the shape of the tag and die-cut two yellow dotted frames. I adhered one of the acetate pieces to the back side of one of the frames then sprinkled on the small star Sequins. Using thin double-sided adhesive tape, I adhered the second acetate piece over the first then adhered the second yellow tag frame. By adhering the second yellow dotted frame over the back, the tag looks the same no matter which side is visible.

Once my tags were complete, I used Yellow Sparkle String to tie them to the treat bag.

Queen & Company supplies:  Shaped Shaker Tag, Sequins, Diamonds, Delightful Dots Mat Stack, Yellow Sparkle String, Scrap Happy Sheer Glue

Other supplies: Taylored Expressions Mum’s the Word stamp/die combo, Peek-a-Boo Halloween (sentiment), Oreo ink, black Stazon ink, acetate, X-Press It Blending Card, Copic markers.

Creating Your Own Reusable Stencil

Hi everyone! It’s another Bellarific Friday with Stamping Bella!  This week the challenge was to create our own background.

Stamping Bella Cave Couple w/close-up of stenciled background

Copic markers – E00, E01, E11, E21, E31, E33, E35, E37, G29, G46, R01, R02, Y21, YG63, YG67, YR15, YR23

I used a Falling Hearts background die and an X-Press It Stencil Sheet to create a cascading hearts background for Stamping Bella’s super-cute Cave Couple. Seriously, how cute are they?? :)

XPSS85x11

X-Press It Stencil Sheets are perfect for creating postive or negative masks. They are the perfect amount of low tack vinyl and easily cut with a die-cutting machine. They can also be used multiple times. They’re great for use with an airbrush, ink, paint, paste… even sandblasting (and more)!

diecut

I first cut a stencil sheet slightly larger than my die.

remove-pieces

I die-cut the stencil sheet, running it through my Big Shot several times to ensure crisp, clean cuts. When I removed the die from the stencil sheet, almost all of the hearts came out with the die. Those that didn’t were easily removed from the stencil sheet with a straight pin.

adhere-to-card-stock

I peeled away the release paper from the back then adhered the stencil sheet to my card stock. With the low-tack adhesive, there is no shifting of the mask (at all) and no bubbles or little areas under which the ink can seep or bleed.

add-ink

After sponging Wild Honey and Scattered Straw Distress inks over the open heart areas, I peeled away the stencil, wiped it clean with a baby wipe, then re-adhered it to the release paper. I tucked the stencil in my clear storage pocket with the die for later use.  (I did not use the sponged card stock shown above as I decided to ink the hearts a little differently. But I used the same process.  And the same stencil!)

Stamping Bella Cave Couple

Once the Cave Couple was colored with markers, I die-cut with the coordinating die, added a stitched frame and tucked a few leaves (from Cave Kids Add Ons) along the bottom.

Next week’s challenge includes this fun inspiration photo:

Dinky Doodles and Wavy Wishes (paper smooches)

Hi everyone! I’m popping in today to share two cards using this month’s and last month’s Paper Smooches releases.

First, from last month, I used Wavy Wishes stamp set with Flower Frame dies.

Michele-Flower-Frame

The large Thank You sentiment with scalloped frame fits perfectly inside the larger scalloped circle from Flower Frame.

Thank-You-So-Much-Flower-Frame-CU

I die-cut the smaller circles, hearts and leaves then simply cut thin strips of green card stock for the stems. Everything was adhered using a Xyron Mega Runner. (It’s refillable. :) )

Stamps: Paper Smooches Wavy Wishes   Dies: Paper Smooches Flower Frame Ink: Taylored Expessions Chocolate Truffle and Sprinkles  Paper: Taylored Expressions Sugar Cube, Chocolate Truffle, Lemon Meringue, Peapod; MFT Limelight   Other: Amuse Creative Candy, blending tool, Xyron Mega Runner

Dont-Forget-500

Next, from Paper Smooches most recent release, I used Dinky Doodles 1 and Daily Diary. Within the Dinky Doodles 1 set are 37 images, perfect for planners, envelopes or cards.  (You can find a second set of images, Dinky Doodles 2, here.)

After stamping and coloring my little monster, I tied a bit of black string to her “finger” as a reminder.  :)

Birthday YAY (paper smooches)

Hi everyone! Today I have a cute monster card to share using stamps and dies from Paper Smooches‘ latest release.

Birthday-YAY-500

I die-cut the Monster from both blue and white card stock then assembled him over a lightly sponged background.

Birthday-YAY-CU

The confetti pieces are also part of the Monster die set so all the dies I used are from the one set. The sentiment is from new Daily Diary. Perfect for planner lovers, the set includes 40 words and phrases. (That’s a lot!)

Thanks for stopping by today. :)

TGIF (stamping bella)

Hi everyone. As I type this, all I can think about is Hurricane Irma. We were just in St. Marten and St. Thomas two weeks ago. So much beauty, now demolished. It is heartbreaking.  I feel so very badly for all of those affected. And now moving on to Florida. Truly awful, and so very scary. Please be safe, my Florida friends.  ♥

It’s time for another {mojo}bella sketch with Stamping Bella.  This week I used Screamy Squidgy. So many possibilities. Haha. The stamp set comes with the image I used below as well as a mini size that is perfect for decorating envelopes, planners or for use inside a card. The bubbles are empty so the squidgy can scream anything you’d like.  :)

Here’s the sketch we were to use:

I love sketch challenges. :)

As always, I used Copic markers to color my image. Within the speech bubble, I placed die-cut letters, cut using Taylored Expressions’ Mini Caps Alpha & #’s dies.

Next week’s challenge is to create your own background. Use any current Stamping Bella image then email your card to emily@stampingbella.com by next Thursday to be featured on the SB blog and to be entered to win some Bella Bucks! (All challenge details can be found HERE.

Taylored Expressions September Release Now Available!

Hi everyone!  All of Taylored Expressionsnew release products are now available! But before you shop, I have two more samples to share.

Taylored Expressions Blooms Overlay

First I created a birthday card using Blooms Overlay and new Happy Script. The flowers also layer perfectly over those found on new Sympathy Blooms Cutting Plate.

Taylored Expressions Blooms Overlay (close-up)

After adhering the Happy Script die-cut and stamping “birthday” from Another Year Older,  I adhered a few Posies from Queen & Company.

Next I created a cute dino birthday card using new Peek-a-Boo Birthday and Number Balloons.

Taylored Expressions Peek-a-Boo Birthday

I centered the dino within an Egg Stacklet then tied a Number Balloon to his tail.

Taylored Expressions Peek-a-Boo Birthday (close-up)

Copic markers – B01, E35, Y21, YG91, YG93, YG95, YG97, YR23,

The sentiment was stamped in Oreo and Sweet Basil ink. (The MISTI makes duo colored sentiments so very easy to stamp since there is no moving of the stamp or card stock. I’m not sure how I survived without my MISTI.)
