Snow Way! (paper smooches)

Hello everyone! I’m popping in today with a card using Swanky Snowdudes and pretty Snowflakes dies from Paper Smooches.

Paper Smooches Swanky Snowdudes and Snowflakes dies

I first die-cut a strip of Post It tape using a Snow Drifts die. Once that was adhered across the bottom of my card front, I sponged a quick sky with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink then adhered the die-cut snowflakes. In the center of each, I placed a Queen & Company Gem topping.

Copic markers – BG10, E35, R29, R39, R85, RV32, Y38

The snowman was stamping onto X-Press It Blending Card, colored with Copic markers (listed above) then cut out and adhered with foam tape.

Thanks so much for visiting!

Sometimes a Hug is All You Need (stamping bella)

Hi everyone! Welcome to another Bellarific Friday with Stamping Bella! This week the team is working with the Squidgies category. You may recall that Celebrating Squidgy is the December Stamp of the Month (also found in this post), available only a few more days at 25% off.  Also on sale is the cooresponding die.

Stamping Bella Huggy Squidgies

For my card this week I chose to use Huggy Squidgies. The image was stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copic markers (listed below the close-up photo). After coloring, I dotted the dresses with a Kirarina Wink White Pearl pen. (I love that pen. It is 100% opaque and a “must-have/never run out” for my stamp table!)

Copic markers – E00, E01, E11, E23, E31, E34, E35, E37, E39, E59, G40, G43, G46, R01, R32, R83, RV32, Y21; Kirarina Wink White Pearl pen

The Squidgies were adhered over a panel of Falling Hearts, with several of the hearts left in place, popped up on bits of clear foam squares.

There is no challenge next week as we’re taking a bit of time off. I will be here to share some things though so please check back!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

i think you are so cool (paper smooches)

Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by!  Today I’m sharing a fun card using Chilly Chums and Lovely Snowflake die from Paper Smooches.

Paper Smooches Chilly Chums and Lovely Snowflake die

I first created the background by sponging Wilted Violet, Salty Ocean and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Inks. I think it’s a lovely combination.

Copic markers – BG10, BV02, BV11, R83, RV11, V25, Y21, YR23. Distress Oxide inks – Wilted Violet, Salty Ocean, Picked Raspberry

The snowflake was adhered using small pieces of clear foam squares, then Queen & Company‘s Gems were added for a bit of sparkle.  Cute little penguin was colored with Copic markers and also adhered using clear foam squares.

I’ll be back soon! 🙂

There’s a Time and a Place (stamping bella)

Hi everyone. It’s another fun Bellarific Friday with Stamping Bella! Today we are posting creations using older images (not from the latest release).

Stamping Bella Whitney & Wendy Love Wine

Since it is the holiday shopping season and there are about a million people everywhere, I thought Uptown Girls Whitney & Wendy Love Wine would be completely appropriate. I normally hate shopping so this time of year, multiply that by about 400. (On-line shopping is the BEST!)

Stamping Bella Whitney & Wendy Love Wine (close-up)

Copic markers – B37, B99, BG10, BG70, C9, E000, E00, E01, E31, E34, E35, E37, G24, G46, G82, R01, R39, R83, R85, R89, RV32, Y21

After stamping onto X-Press It Blending Card and coloring with Copic markers (listed above), I trimmed the edges, cutting around the navy dress to allow that portion to extend onto the patterned paper.

Stamping Bella Santa has a Prezzie

Copic markers – BG10, BG11, C00, C1, C2, C5, C7, C9, 110, E00, E01, E11, E35, G12, G14, G28, R01, R29, R39, R89, Y35, YR23

Earlier this week, I posted the above card using Santa Has a Prezzie on Instagram. Markers used are listed below the photo.

baby, it’s cold outside (paper smooches)

Hello crafty friends! Thanks for stopping by today. It’such a busy time of year. I so very much appreciate your time and interest.

Today I’m switching gears from coloring to die-cutting.  🙂

Paper Smooches Mitten die and Winter Sampler

My card features Paper Smooches Mitten die with a sentiment from Winter Sampler.  The twine is held in place using Gloobers by Queen & Company with the gloobers in position beneath the top mitten. I used a tiny Gloober beneath the knot on the top mitten. It’s small enough not to show and strong enough to hold the twine.

The snowflakes were added once assembled, tucking a few beneath the mittens and string.

Thanks again for visiting today!

Cool Dudes (paper smooches)

Hi everyone!  I hope you’re off to a great start this week. 🙂  Today I have a card to share using Cool Dudes by Paper Smooches.

Paper Smooches Cool Dudes

The background was inspired by all of the Distress Oxide Blending I’ve seen on Instagram lately. I first die-cut a strip of Post It Tape using a Snow Drifts die, then applied that as a mask. I blended Salty Ocean and Broken China inks, sprinkled a bit of water, then added in snow dots in various sizes using my Kirarina Wink White Pearl pen. (It’s one of my all-time favorite supplies!)

Paper Smooches Cool Dudes (close-up)

Copic markers – BG10, E35, R29, R39, R89, Y35, YR23; Kirarina Wink White Pearl pen

The cool dudes snowman was colored with Copic markers (listed above) then die-cut using the coordinating Cool Dudes Icons die (which is currently 50% off). Once die-cut the snowman was adhered using Kool Tak clear foam squares. (Another supply I like to always have on hand.)

Thanks for stopping by today! 🙂

Happy Chanukah (stamping bella)

Happy Friday, everyone! This week the Stamping Bella team is revisiting our latest release. I absolutely adore the new Teeny Tiny Townies (and I had a need for a Chanukah/Hanukkah card) so I chose to use Chanukah.

Stamping Bella Teeny Tiny Townie Chanukah

The set includes the sentiments Happy Chanukah as well as Happy Hanukkah so whichever your preference, you’re all set.  🙂

Stamping Bella Teeny Tiny Townie Chanukah (close-up)

Copic markers – E00, E01, E11, E31, E33, E35, E37, E40, E41, E42, V09, V15, V17, W00, W1, W2, Y21, YR23; clear Wink of Stella glitter brush

After coloring with Copic markers (noted above), I added subtle sparkle to the Teeny Tiny Townie’s dress using a clear Wink of Stella glitter brush. I also added a few of Queen & Company‘s new Gems toppings as a quick little embellishment.

NEXT WEEK’S CHALLENGE

Use any current Stamping Bella image. (No restrictions.) If you’d like, email your card to emily@stampingbella.com by next Thursday to be featured on the SB blog. By doing so, you’ll also be entered to win some Bella Bucks! All challenge details can be found HERE.

Peace – Love – Joy (paper smooches)

Hello everyone. How is your holiday prep progressing? Mine is “eh.” But we’re getting there!  Today I have a card to share using A Holy Holiday by Paper Smooches.

Paper Smooches A Holy Holiday

I first created the background by stamping and white embossing snowflakes from Gently Seasoned Two.  I then sponged Wilted Violet and Broken China Distress Oxide inks, wiping away ink from the snowflakes.  I also sprinkled a bit of water over the ink to create a somewhat splotchy appearance.

Distress Oxide Inks – Wilted Violet, Broken China

The sentiment and reindeer were stamped, then I added Queen & Company‘s new Gems to the snowflake centers and randomly within the background. (Gems are not just for shaker cards! I often use them as super sparkly embellishments!)

Queen & Company – New Bubbles and Sentiment Dies

Hello everyone! Today I’m stepping away from seasonal cards to use a few of  Queen & Company’s latest products!

Queen & Company Spring Shaker kit with new Sentiment Dies

First, I created a sprinkling of spring showers using Spring Shaped Shaker kit dies with new Bubbles and new sentiment dies (coming soon). I die-cut the sun from yellow Simple Stripes patterned paper and the cloud from four pieces of white card stock. The cloud die-cuts were layered together to create a more dimensional shape. Once the sun and clouds were adhered using Sheer Glue, I arranged several colors of Bubbles as a rainbow of raindrops.

Queen & Company Spring Shaped Shaker Kit and new Sentiment Dies

New sentiment dies were used with yellow and orange Simple Stripes patterned paper to create a simple, easy greeting.

Supplies: Spring Shaped Shaker kit, new sentiment dies, Bubbles, Simple Stripes patterned paper, Sheer Glue

Queen & Company Love Jar Kit with new sentiment dies

Using new sentiment dies, Love Jar kit and new Gems Toppings, I created a bright summer greeting. After stamping the flowers and stems, I stamped a few extra flowers then die-cut each using Love Jar Flower & Stem dies. I used pieces of the leftover foam from the center of the jar to pop up/balance the extra flowers over the jar edges then placed new Bubbles in each flower center.

Queen & Company Love Jar kit with new Sentiment Dies

In the shaker are new Gems as well as silver Rubble. To ground the jar, I layered two oval circles then used the bottom of the jar die to remove the jar shape. In doing so, the jar is able to lay flat on the card base.

New sentiment dies were used with card stock to match the pink flowers then adhered over the shaker using Sheer Glue.

Supplies:  Love Jar kit, Love Jar Flower & Stem dies, Gems Toppings, Rubble, Bubbles, new sentiment dies, Sheer Glue
