Quick and Easy Season’s Greetings

*STAMPING BELLA GIVEAWAY HERE*

Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by today.  :)

With the holiday season (quickly) approaching, I’m doing my best to stock up on Christmas cards. My card today is super quick and easy using a bit of distress ink and a few dies by Paper Smooches.

Paper Smooches Season's Greetings and Holiday Sweets

In the center of my card, I first sponged Squeezed Lemonade, then Spiced Marmalade and finally Picked Raspberry distress inks. I started with the lighter color, overlapping inks as I moved down toward the bottom.

Paper Smooches Season's Greetings and Holiday Sweets (close-up)

From gold foil card stock (which is lovely), I die-cut trees from Holiday Sweets, Season’s Greetings and a tiny star from Gift Tags 3.  To help balance the card and add a bit more interest, I adhered a thin strip of gold foil card stock to the left and right edges of the sponged panel.

Not only did my card come together quickly, it’s flat which is a big plus for mailing. :)

I’ll be back on Thursday with Paper Smooches’ November release hop. Hope to see you then!

The Cutest Cave Kids Ever (and a small give-away)

Hi everyone! I’m popping in today to share a card I created using Stamping Bella‘s adorable Cave Kids.

Stamping Bella Cave Kids (close-up)

As a child, I always loved the Flintstones (yes, showing my age but that’s ok) so maybe that’s why I’m drawn to them. They seriously are so cute, don’t you think?

Stamping Bella Cave Kids

As a quick background, I colored Cave Kids Backdrop, scribbling in a bit of lava coming from the small mountain in the center.

Stamping Bella Cave Kids (close-up)

Copic markers – B0000, B000, BG95, E00, E01, E11, E30, E31, E33, E35, G20, G21, G24, G85, W00, W1, W2, Y21, YR0000, YR23

The sentiment, from Cave Kids Add-Ons, was stamped onto a die-cut heart then attached with clear foam squares.

      **GIVEAWAY**

Stamping Bella Cave Couple

Also available, along the Cave Kids line is Cave Couple, as used HERE.  I happen to have an extra to send to one lucky commenter. I’ll also toss in some of my favorite Copic compatible paper, X-Press It Blending Card. Just leave a comment below. I’ll pick a winner on Wednesday.  Please note:  While I’d love to share Stamping Bella with everyone, this giveaway is limited to those with a US address.

Thanks so much for visiting!

happy halloween (stamping bella)

Hi everyone! TGIF! This week with Stamping Bella we are using circles. :)

Happy-Halloween-littles-500

I used a die to create windows for Littles Witchy, Little Bits Mummy & Frankie, and spider web from Haunted House Outdoor Decor.

Happy-Halloween-littles-CU3

I first die-cut the circles then embossed the top two thirds of the panel with Taylored Expressions’ Weathered embossing folder. I stamped the Fall Sentiment, added a strip of X-Press It black glitter Deco Tape then popped up the panel on foam tape.

Next week’s challenge includes this lovely inspiration photo:

Harvest Blessings with Kirarina Wink

Hi everyone!  With the cooler weather finally arriving, I’m in the mood to create something “fall-ish.”  :)  I decided to make a fall greeting for framing using darker card stock, Kirarina Wink metallic pens and this Harvest Blessings digital file from SVG Salon.

5 Finished-No-Frame-IG

I used Kirarina Wink Gold  for the greeting with small dots added using White Pearl. I also used a 0.3 Wine inking pen to add a bit a definition.

1 Supplies

I first printed the greeting onto regular copy paper.

2 Trace-on-card-stock

I placed a sheet of Transfer Paper over my card stock and placed the printed greeting on top. Using removable tape, I held the layers in place then traced an outline with a pencil.  (Images can be printed directly onto the white side of the Transfer Paper. I chose not to do so because my printer is finicky and I wasn’t in the mood to battle.)

3 Trace-on-Trace-Oops-500

Tip:  When removing the transfer paper from the package, make certain you are only removing ONE SHEET. Otherwise, you will end up tracing your image onto the back of another sheet of transfer paper (shown above). eye roll emojii

4 Traced-on-CS-500

Once traced onto the CARD STOCK (haha), I carefully filled in the areas with a Gold Kirarina Wink. Once filled, I added a bit of definition with a 0.3 Wine Multiliner then added some random scattered dots of white.

Closeup

While it can be kind of scary sometimes to share zoomed in shots, I wanted to show how wonderfully the Kirarina Wink covers darker card stock.  Also, it’s hard to capture in the photo, but the ink holds tiny specks of glass, creating a soft, shimmery appearance. The pens can work great on glass, wood, plastic and photos!

Now to find a frame!  :)

Thanks so much for visiting today!

Naughty or Nice?

Hi everyone! Today I have two cards to share using Santa Card dies from Paper Smooches.

Boxed-Greetings-500

This die set is so much fun! If you click HERE to see the Santa die set, you can also see several different interpretations, some of which are not holiday related at all. (SO fun!)

Boxed-Greetings-CU

In Santa’s beard, I stamped a sentiment from Boxed Greetings, using tape to mask out the “box” portion around the words. Boxed Greetings is available to you for FREE with any $60 retail purchase through 10/31.

Boxed-Greetings-CU2

By simply changing card stock colors and eliminating the mustache, I created an elf. I also changed the button color. Instead of using black as on Santa’s suit, I die-cut the button from shiny gold. Again, I stamped a sentiment from Boxed Greetings without the box.

I’d love to see your cards created with Santa Card dies. Please link below!

Thanks for stopping in today! I’ll be back soon.  :)

blessed (stamping bella)

Hello. It’s Friday so that means it’s time for another challenge with Stamping Bella! This week I used Hedgie and His Acorns from The Littles Fall Collection.

Stamping Bella The Littles Hedgie & His Acorns

We were to use this sketch for inspiration:

Oct 13

I like to keep my designs pretty simple so I used the same pattern for each block surrounding the main/focal square.

Stamping Bella The Littles Hedgie & His Acorns (close-up)

Copic markers – E08, E30, E31, E33, E35, E37, E47, G21, G24, G94, YR12, YR14, YR15

After Hedgie was stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card, I colored with Copic markers then die-cut using his coordinating die.

I stamped the sentiment, from Fall Sentiment Set, onto a block of white card stock then trimmed the bottom to a flag shape. To easily die-cut the stitched edge, I placed the sentiment strip just over one side of a stitched square die and ran it through my Big Shot.

Next week’s challenge is to incorporate circles into our design.  Use any current Stamping Bella image then email your card to emily@stampingbella.com by next Thursday to be featured on the SB blog and to be entered to win some Bella Bucks! (All challenge details can be found HERE.)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Peace-and-Love-500

Boxed Greetings is this month’s “TAM” set (Thanks a Million), free with any $60 retail order through 10/31. I stamped the sentiment in white ink then white embossed and die-cut.

The tiny peace sign on the background paper is also part of the Boxed Greetings stamp set.

Peace-and-Love-CU

With the stamp set, I used the coordinating Boxed Greetings Icons die and Cool Dudes stamp set (and die). :)

Queen & Company’s new Halloween Hooplah Shaker Kit

Hi everyone! I have had a super busy couple of weeks. Thank you for visiting once again.  :)

Today I have a couple cards I created using Queen & Company’s new Halloween Hooplah shaker kit. This kit is a cauldron of fun, loaded with stamps, dies, toppings, beads, bling and the cutest paper pad! Also available are extra toppings, Halloween Hooplah paper pad, refill foam and acetate shapes and Halloween tape.

Queen & Company Halloween Hooplah Shaker Kit

I first created a cauldron shaker filled with spooky eyes, spiders and teeny tiny purple and black diamond stars.

Queen & Company Halloween Hooplah Shaker Kit (close-up)

I created the steam using a YG03 Wide Copic marker, simply sweeping the marker up from the pot in a slightly swirly motion, just like steam. The 3/4″ wide nib made it sooo easy! Before adhering the pre-cut acetate, I also adhered into the pot a few Iridescent Bubbles in green, orange and purple. Those are included in the kit but you can buy more (and in additional colors) HERE.

Queen & Company Halloween Hooplah Shaker Kit

Next I created a fun witch card. Inside the shaker I placed purple beads and tiny black and clear diamond stars. Beneath the hat, I added eyes by punching two small white circles and adhering an iridescent green bubble onto each.

Queen & Company Halloween Hooplah Kit (close-up)

I die-cut and adhered additional hat outlines from card stock and white embossed the fun sentiment. Sprinkled around are a few tiny candy corn toppings. (They work great as embellishments too!)

There’s so much fun to be had in the Halloween Hooplah kit. I love it.  :)

Thanks for visiting!
