A Few Bucks for You (paper smooches)

As I mentioned a few days ago, I’m trying to work on a stash of Christmas cards. I don’t send handmade cards to everyone on my list, but I like to have enough for those whom I know appreciate the effort.  🙂

Paper Smooches Santa Paws and Icons dies

Today I’ve used Santa Paws with Santa Paws Icons dies by Paper Smooches. (Santa Paws Icons dies are currently 50% off!)

Copic markers – E31, E33, E35, E40, E42, E43, E47, E59, R29, R89; Glossy Accents

Each “buck” was colored with Copic markers (listed above) with the noses then covered with Glossy Accents.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Merry Christmas (stamping bella)

Hi everyone! This week with Stamping Bella we are working with any image that is not from the latest release (or “vintage”). I’ve been trying to focus a bit on  Christmas cards so I chose to use Elves with Treats from The Littles Christmas Collection.

Stamping Bella The Littles Elves with Treats

I used the stamp with the three elves and candies/cookie together. The elves and candies are also available as a set with each image as a separate stamp HERE. That way you can create your own Little scenes as well.  🙂

Stamping Bella The Littles Elves with Treats (close-up)

Copic markers – BG10, BG11, BG13, BG15, BG18, C00, C1, C2, C3, C9, E00, E01, E11, E13, E31, E33, G05, R24, R29, R83, R85, R89, RV10, RV11, RV32, Y23, YG03, YG06, YG09, YR12, YR14; Signo white gel pen; gold Zig Painty marker

Once stamped and colored, I added a die-cut string of Christmas lights (also colored with Copic markers, a Signo White gel pen and a gold Zig Painty marker).

Stamping Bella Little Bits Fall Fruit and Nature

This week on Instagram, I also posted the above card.  (Trying to fit in a quick fall card before fall disappears.) I used Fall Fruit and leaves from Nature from The Little Bits Fall Collection with a Fall Sentiment.

Copic markers – E00, E01, E07, E07, E11, E31, E33, E35, E37, E59, G21, G24, G28, R24, R29, R59, R89, Y21, YR16, YR18

NEXT WEEK’S CHALLENGE

Use an image from the same category as the November Stamp of the Month (Edna Loves the Ocean, 25% off through 11/30), which means use an image from the Edna the Fairy Godmother.  If you’d like, email your card to emily@stampingbella.com by next Thursday to be featured on the SB blog. Thanksgiving Blessings (paper smooches)

Hi everyone! I hope you had a nice weekend. We’ve had more rain. Seriously…enough is enough. Everything is so soggy.

Paper Smooches Thanksgiving dies

Today my card features Thanksgiving dies with a sentiment from Fall Sampler by Paper Smooches. Super quick and easy.  🙂

Paper Smooches Thanksgiving dies (close-up)

Copic markers – E07, E08, E31, E33, E35, E40, E42, Y21, YG63, YG67, YR04, YR18, YR23

After die-cutting the images from dark brown card stock, I removed all the inside pieces then die-cut again from X-Press It Blending Card. I colored the inside areas with Copic markers then inserted the pieces into the dark brown image frames.

Tip: It’s easiest to color the pieces without removing them from the image frame. If the pieces fall out, simply put them back in to color.

A sentiment from Fall Sampler finished the card. (I carefully snipped apart the Thanksgiving blessings stamp so it was easier to arrange the sentiment. I think I’ll get a lot of use out of the simple word “blessings” by itself…and I really like the font.)

More Monster Mash fun from Queen & Company

Hi everyone! I hope you had a nice weekend.  🙂  Today I’m sharing two more cards using Queen & Company‘s Monster Mash kit.  It’s so very cute with several different themes possible using the fun coordinating stamp set.  The kit includes six colors of pompoms, each in two different sizes, 26 dies (!) providing base layouts for the pompoms, arms, legs, hair, antennae, smiles with white backdrops for creating easy teeth, gloobers for super quick adherance of the poms, and lets not forget the EYES! Serious monster love, here!

Queen & Company Monster Mash kit

First I created a friendly monster hello. The base shape (which includes embossed circles to help in pom placement) was die-cut then gloobers and poms adhered. After die-cutting the hair, I colored a piece of white string with a pink Copic marker then tied around a piece of the hair.

Queen & Company Monster Mash kit (close-up)

The sentiment was white embossed on Fright Fest patterned paper  with a scattering of pink Epoxy Dots applied as a finishing touch.

Queen & Company Monster Mash kit

Next, I have a fun “human” birthday card.  🙂  I created the monster as above, adhering the body at a tilt with balloons (not included in the kit) carrying him away. Again, the sentiment was white embossed on Fright Fest patterned paper with Epoxy Dots added as confetti.

Following are links to the kit, refills and additional embellishments to coordinate – Monster Mash Kit, Monster Bubbles Bundle, Monster Mash PomPom refill, Eyeball refill, Epoxy Dots and Fright Fest paper pad.

I Love You to the North Pole and Back (stamping bella)

Hi everyone. Happy Friday! This week the Stamping Bella challenge was to use any image from the latest release.

Stamping Bella Rosie and Bernie at the North Pole

I used adorable Rosie and Bernie in the North Pole. I especially love that sentiment.

Copic markers – BG10, BG11, C00, C1, C2, C5, E00, E01, R01, R02, R29, R39, R83, RV11, RV32

I colored with Copic markers then added shimmer to the snow and igloo using a clear Wink of Stella glitter brush. Once assembled, I added small snowflakes and the bit of baker’s twine.

NEXT WEEK’S CHALLENGE

Monster Mash Pumpkins and Bats (Queen & Company)

Hey everyone! Today I’m sharing two more cards I created using Queen & Company’s super cute Monster Mash kit!  (You can see the first two **HERE**.) While the kit is full of fun monster possibilities, today I focused more on Halloween.

Queen & Company - Monster Mash kit

I first adhered two striped strips of patterned paper to a block of yellow paper, securing the ends with small staples. I adhered Gloobers in the shape of each pumpkin then adhered orange pompoms. I used the two layering dies to create the mouths, one die-cut from black, the other die-cut from white. The white piece was placed behind the black, allowing the white teeth to show. Sheer Glue holds the mouth and eyes in place.

Queen & Company - Monster Mash kit

I added two die-cut stems, stamped the sentiment and adhered a few star shapes before securing the panel to a black card base.

Supplies:  Monster Mash kit, Fright Fest paper pad, Gloobers, Sheer Glue

Next, I created a fun (quick and easy) bat card.

Batty-for-You-500

I die-cut three bat shapes then die-cut and assembled three mouths. Once the eyes and mouths were adhered to the bodies (using Sheer Glue), I positioned the bats in place over the blue patterned paper. Using the bats as a guide, I wrapped white string, securing the ends on the back side. Once the string was in place, I adhered the bats, placing foam squares beneath the wings.

Queen & Company - Monster Mash kit

I stamped the sentiment in white, white embossed then cut the strip into a flag shape and adhered. As a finishing touch, I added some black and white Epoxy Dots.

Supplies:  Monster Mash kit, Fright Fest paper pad, Epoxy Dots, Sheer Glue

A Garden Girl and an Oddball (stamping bella)

Hi everyone! It’s Friday and that means another fun challenge with Stamping Bella! This week we’re using images from the Stamp of the Month category. October’s SOTM is Tiny Townie Garden Girl Marigold (25% off through 10/31) so today we’re using Garden Girls…or Tiny Townies.

Stamping Bella Tiny Townie Garden Girl Rose

I chose to color Garden Girl Rose. I *love* her hair and striped top/tights. She’s so sweet.

Littles Halloween (stamping bella)

Hello there! Today I did a bit of playing with Stamping Bella‘s Littles Halloween Collection. It was fun to stamp several images then create scenes.  🙂

Stamping Bella Frankie, Witchy & Mummy

First I used Frankie, Witchie and Mummy along with a pumpkin and spider from Haunted House Outdoor Decor.  (All images colored with Copic markers. Glitter added to dress using a clear Wink of Stella glitter brush.)

Stamping Bella Frankie, Witchy & Mummy (close-up)

Copic markers – C2, C3, C5, C7, C9, E00, E01, E11, E31, E35, E37, E40, E42, E43, V09, V15, V17, Y21, YG03, YG06, YG09, YR04, YR18; clear Wink of Stella glitter brush

Behind the trick or treaters, I placed a die-cut circle sponged with orange and yellow inks. I stamped a Fall Sentiment then layered it on a strip of die-cut grass. Patterned paper is new Fright Fest from Queen & Company.

Stamping Bella Littles Pumpkin with a Witchy on Top

On the above card, I used Pumpkins with a Witchy on Top and bat from Haunted House Outdoor Decor. (All images colored with Copic markers. Glitter added to dress using a clear Wink of Stella glitter brush.)

Card layout is inspired by one of my favorite stampers (and fellow Stamping Bella DT) Debra James.

To ground the images, I added a scrap strip of Simple Stripes patterned paper by Queen & Company. Beneath the striped strip, I added a Fall Sentiment.

Thanks so much for visiting today! I’ll be back soon!  🙂
