hope your birthday is unforgettable (color throwdown)

Hi everyone.  Today is my last post guesting for Color Throwdown. I’ve had such fun creating along with the CTD gals. I’ve always loved seeing individual interpretations of challenges and this one was no exception. SO much fun! I thank them for having me this past month.  ♥

This week’s color inspiration was brought to us by Joan. She selected rust, aqua and gray, another new favorite color combo for me.  🙂

I’ve used one of WPlus9‘s adorable elephants from Unforgettable.

Michele Boyer - WPlus9

My little elephant was colored with Copic markers and the balloon and bow were paper-pieced from Basic Grey’s Hipster 6×6 paper pad. I do believe I’m addicted to Paper Smooches‘ little cross stitch dies from Stitched. I’ve been putting them on everything it seems.

i miss you (color throwdown)

Hi everyone.  It’s time for another Color Throwdown!  This week Broni chose a bright palette of red, fuchsia, black and white.

CTD365 swatch (003)

This little racoon critter from Mama Elephant‘s Three Amigos was calling my name. I decided to go with black and white with just a bit of red and fuchsia.

Michele Boyer - Mama Elephant

After stamping onto X-Press It Blending Card and coloring with Copic markers, I stamped the sentiment, highlighting the word “miss” then added three Tiny Hearts (by Paper Smooches), die-cut from red and bright pink card stock then coated with Glossy Accents. To add just a bit more detail, I dotted over the raccoon’s eyes with a black glossy pen.

Copic markers – N1, N3, N5, N7, N9, R01, E50

I used 1/8″ X-Press It double-sided tape to adhere the striped panel and Kool Tak clear foam squares to adhere the raccoon.

you’re awesome. i agree.

Hi everyone. I hope you’re enjoying your weekend.  I’ve been busy creating samples for upcoming releases, two current and something new.  🙂  I’ll reveal that very soon, but I thought I’d let you know I have several days next week when I’ll be posting twice a day. It can’t be helped, and I hope you don’t mind. Lots happening, all at once.  (It’s fun and I love it.)  🙂

Today I’ve used a super cute new-to-me stamp set by Mama Elephant called Three Amigos. I only used two today but I’m sure the third will not feel left out for long. This set is too cute to ignore.

You're Awesome

I love that each little friend holds a sign.  After stamping onto X-Press It Blending Card and coloring with Copics, I stamped the sign portion again and popped that portion up on clear foam squares.

Toooooo cute!!! I want more tiny words!  (Maybe a few snarky ones would be fun. I think so! haha.)

Thanks for stopping by today. I will be back tomorrow  (and many times thereafter).  Have a great day!
