Birthday YAY (paper smooches)

Hi everyone! Today I have a cute monster card to share using stamps and dies from Paper Smooches‘ latest release.

Birthday-YAY-500

I die-cut the Monster from both blue and white card stock then assembled him over a lightly sponged background.

Birthday-YAY-CU

The confetti pieces are also part of the Monster die set so all the dies I used are from the one set. The sentiment is from new Daily Diary. Perfect for planner lovers, the set includes 40 words and phrases. (That’s a lot!)

Thanks for stopping by today. :)

You’re My Unicorn (paper smooches)

Hi everyone! Today I have another fun shaker card to share. I used new Unicorn die from Paper Smooches with Queen & Company‘s Rainbow Foam Front shaker card kit.

Paper Smooches Unicorn die, Queen & Company Rainbow Foam Front

I first adhered the foam front to my card base (both included in the shaker kit). I filled the openings with Pops and Donuts then adhered the acetate. I sponged ink onto the white card front (also included in the Rainbow Foam Front kit) then stamped the sentiment from new Magical Sampler. There many cute sentiments in this stamp set!

I die-cut the Unicorn from multiple colors of card stock then adhered the unicorn over the shaker. To finish my card, I adhered several white, super sparkly Q&C Petite Posies.

Wavy Birthday Wishes (paper smooches)

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing a card using Paper Smooches‘ new Wavy Wishes stamp set with Wavy Pattern dies.

Paper Smooches - Wavy Wishes

Wavy Wishes stamp set is this month’s TAM (Thanks a Million) set, which means it is free with any $60 retail purchase through August 31st.

I used the Wavy Pattern die to die-cut red, blue and yellow card stock pieces, then used the Wavy Pattern frame as a placement guide.

My MISTI allowed perfect placement of the stamped words. Once everything was stamped and assembled, I adhered some red and yellow rivets from Queen & Company.

Whale, hello

Hi everyone! I’m popping in today to share two cards I created using Foam Front Shaker kits from Queen & Company.

Whale-Hello-500b

My first card uses the fun Waves Foam Front kit along with Huge Hugs and Surf & Turf (with coordinating dies) from Paper Smooches.

Whale-Hello-CU-500b

Before adhering the pre-cut foam to my card base, I adhered a block of blue patterned paper from Queen & Company’s Picture Perfect Mat Stack. I filled the openings with Pops and Fimo Fun, adhered the whale and fish (stamped onto Blending Card and colored with markers) then tied some pretty blue Sparkle String.

Hello-Sunshine-500b

Next I created a shiny Hello Sunshine card using a Polkas Foam Front Kit, Delightful Dots Mat StackPearlies Bright and Pastel Diamond toppings.

Hello-Sunshine-CU-500c

For even more sparkle and shine, I adhered three Iridescent Flowers and a bit of yellow Sparkle String. (Sentiment from Summer Lovin’ by  Paper Smooches.)

These shakers are seriously the most fun. And so easy. Another great thing about the Queen & Company kits is that refills are available! Have a fave kit? Pick up a few refills! It’s awesome.  :)

Hope (paper smooches)

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing a card I created using a couple of Paper Smooches‘ latest releases.

Paper Smooches Dove and Religious Words 2 dies

The Dove and Religious Words 2 dies are handy for so many occasions…get well, encouragement, Christmas, wedding, etc, and they’re great for quick and easy greetings.

Here, I simply die-cut both from white card stock then adhered over a watercolor panel, colored with a Zig Clean Color Real Brush marker. I used a Copic marker (BG10) to lightly fill in the eye and leaves.

I finished my card by tieing on a bit of silver cord and adhering a few super sparkly white Petite Posies from Queen & Company (a “must have” in my stash. I seriously love them and the white goes with everything).

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Take a Deep Breath (paper smooches)

Hi everyone! Today I’m quickly popping in with a very simple card using Paper Smooches‘ new Body Language stamp set and coordinating die. The Body Language stamp set is this month’s Thanks a Million (TAM), free with any $60 retail order through July 31st. It’s full of cute “guts” with fun sentiments to match. :)

Paper Smooches - Michele Boyer

I used the pair of lungs, set within the die-cut shape, stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored with markers.

Coipc markers – RV11, RV32; Copic Opaque White

After coloring with markers, I added a tiny white dot to each cheek using Copic’s Opaque White. The pretty patterned paper is one of my all-time faves, Heart Throb by Queen & Company.

Thanks for visiting today! I’ll be back soon.

Supplies:  Body Language stamp set and dies, Copic markers and Opaque White, Taylored Expressions Stitched Square Stacklets and Sugar Cube card stock and Oreo ink, X-Press It Blending Card and 1/4″ foam tape, Queen & Company Heart Throb Mat Stack. Finished size 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″

Watercolored Prayers (paper smooches)

Hi everyone! Today I have a card to share using two new dies now available from Paper Smooches.

Paper Smooches - 3d Cross and Prayers dies

3D Cross is a lovely set which includes the crosses as well as flowers, leaves, a heart, a feather and butterfly. The set would work great for Easter cards, Christmas or, in my example, a sympathy card paired with new Prayers die.

Paper Smooches - 3d Cross and Prayers dies (close-up)

To create the background, I scribbled Zig Clean Color Brush Markers onto an acrylic block then watercolored onto watercolor paper. The flower centers were colored with an R000 Copic marker. Very quick and easy (other than waiting for the watercolor paper to dry).  :)

Thanks for visiting today! I’ll be back soon!

Using Die-cuts with Double-Sided Adhesive Sheets

**Paper Smooches Release Hop can be found HERE**

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing a second way to use double-sided adhesive sheets by X-Press It.  In a previous post I used the sheets to create a clear card. This time I’m using baby beads (from Queen & Company) to embellish a sun and rainbow from Paper Smooches.

Wishing-You-Sunshine-500

X-Press It Double-sided Adhesive Sheets are super tacky and die-cut very easily. I’ve tried many brands and X-Press It is, by far, my favorite.

DSS8.5X115

The adhesive sheets are available in packs of five sheets (8 1/2″ x 11″ only, which is perfect for paper crafters like us!), 25 sheets (several sizes) and a 31.5″ x 27 yard roll.

Wishing-You-Sunshine-CU

I adhered a piece of adhesive sheet to a block of white card stock cut slightly larger than my rainbow die. Placing the die on the adhesive side, I die-cut the two together, then die-cut a second rainbow from just card stock. I carefully removed the release paper from the cloud/rainbow outline as well as the interior cloud pieces and adhered the corresponding card stock pieces over those areas. This left only the rainbow stripes with exposed adhesive release paper.

Wishing-You-Sunshine-CU3

Removing one strip of release paper at a time, I poured beads over the exposed adhesive then pressed down to ensure the beads were securely adhered. I then removed the next strip of release paper and poured the next color of beads, repeating this process until all stripes were filled. (I highly recommend working with a funneled tray if using baby beads as they go EVERYWHERE. Sometimes they even jump out of the tray but it does help tremendously to keep them (mostly) confined (and with the funnel, the unused beads can be returned to the container).

Wishing-You-Sunshine-CU2

Adhesive sheets can be used for many purposes. I mostly use them for clear cards, creating stickers or as an easily (and NON-MESSY) application of adhesive to the back of more intricate die-cuts such as words.  I simply adhere card stock to the adhesive sheet, then die-cut with the die on the card stock side. *Always place the die on whichever side of the stack you want on top.*

Thanks for visiting today!  :)
