Stitched Get Well Wishes (paper smooches)

Hi everyone!  Today I’m sharing a card I created using Paper Smooches‘ new Stitched Circle die.  As a former cross-stitcher, I just love that this style is trending.

Paper Smooches Stitched Circle die/Smooches stamp set

I pulled out my DMC thread and stitched a pink heart into the center then finished with white all around. After stitching, I decided to add a bit more color so I pulled out a few of my Copic markers and colored over the thread, creating an ombre look.  (Coloring the thread was WAY easier than transitioning with different shades of string.)

Paper Smooches Stitched Circle die (close-up)

Copic markers – RV02, RV10, RV13, RV14

To assemble the card, I adhered patterned strips along the left and right sides of my base card. I adhered the horizontal strip of patterned paper to another block of white card stock trimmed slightly more narrow than the card front. I then die-cut the circular opening and stamped the sentiment (from Smooches stamp set) below. I adhered the panel to the card front using foam tape and adhered the stitched piece inside the circular opening.

Also available is a Stitched Square Die and a super cool Cross Stitch Die that only die-cuts the holes. So much fun.  :)

Thanks for stopping by today! I’ll be back soon.

Celebrate (with teeny stars)

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card to share using Paper Smooches‘ new Teeny Stars dies. It was super-quick and easy, and works for male or female. (Masculine cards are so hard for me.)

Paper Smooches Celebrate Word Die and Teeny Stars Dies

I first die-cut the word Celebrate several times from black card stock then once from silver foil card stock. I layered all then adhered to the center of the black panel.

Copic markers – B16, BG15, G05, RV14, V17, Y17, YR04

I die-cut the stars from silver foil as well then colored most with Copic markers. When I looked closely at the foil paper, I could see very slight directional lines (grain) so I colored in the direction of the lines and that way, the added color was pretty smooth.  To create the tiny dots, I die-cut a scrap of silver foil using the Stitched Square die. The dots are the perfect little accents, I think! Once the panel was assembled, I adhered it to a silver foil panel and then to a card base.

Thank you so much for visiting today! I’ll be back tomorrow with something new and super fun from Queen & Company:)

thanks sew much (paper smooches)

Hello, and thanks for visiting today! I hope you’re smoothly getting back into the swing of things after the holiday. Sometimes it’s a slow-going process. We’ve had a couple snow days and now a three-hour early release due to possible freezing rain/ice so my return to normalcy has not yet occurred.  (Turtle speed.)

Today I’m sharing a card I created using stamps and dies from Paper Smooches‘ latest release.

Thanks-So-Much-Embr-Hoop-500

I’ve used the new Embroidery Hoop dies (which includes the hoop as well as the stitched mug and several stitches) with a sentiment from new In Stitches stamp set and Stitched Circle die.

Thanks-So-Much-Embr-Hoop-CU

I stamped the needle from In Stitches then scribbled in a bit of thread.  In Stitches stamp set is free through January 31 with any $60 retail order. Pretty awesome!

The new stitch dies and stitch stamp set are all so popular they are currently sold out but expect to be back in stock soon.  :)

Thanks so much for visiting!

Happy Birthday (paper smooches)

Hi everyone! I’m popping in today to share a quick and easy card I created using the latest release from Paper Smooches.

HB-Wine-Dies-500

I used new Wine dies to die-cut glasses from Queen & Company‘s lovely Flirty Florals patterned paper. I also die-cut from X-Press It’s 1″ Copper Glitter Deco Tape. It’s a shame the photo looks more like sand paper. In person, it is super sparkly and very pretty.

HB-Wine-Dies-CU

The sentiment is from new All Year Cheer stamp set, this month’s TAM, or Thanks a Million, stamp set FREE with any $60 retail order through December 31st. I stamped in Versamark then embossed with copper embossing powder. I used a Chocolate atyouSpica glitter pen to add the fizz dots above the glasses.

Thanks so much for visiting today! I’ll be back soon. :)

Let’s Wine Together (paper smooches)

Hi everyone! I hope your holiday season is happy so far.  :)

Today I have a card to share using stamps and dies from Paper Smooches latest release.

Paper Smooches Wine Sampler and Wine dies

I created a fun table setting using new Wine Sampler and Wine Dies.

Paper Smooches Wine Sampler and Wine dies

I used my MISTI to simply stamp the sentiment in two colors. The wine bottle has a little rim at the top as well as a cork. I die-cut the cork from X-Press It’s new Cork Deco Tape.  (The wine portion of the glasses was cut by hand.)  Together, the stamp set and dies are a perfect combination.

Beneath the gingham, I added a die-cut Deco Edge, perfect for creating a simple “tablecloth” border.

Thanks so much for visiting! I’ll be back soon.  :)

Lets-Chill-500

My card came together very quickly. No stamping, no clean-up.  :)

Paper Smooches Wine dies, Ribbon dies and All Year Cheer stamp set

After applying a bit of watercolor, I adhered the die-cut wine bottle, added a label with a row of Hearts, then added the double layer bow. The tiny cork was die-cut from X-Press It Cork tape. Perfect.  :)

Hi everyone! Today I have a card to share using Paper Smooches‘ super cute Baby Birds stamp set and Baby Birds Icons dies.  :)  Baby Birds stamp set is free for the month of November with any $60 retail order.

Paper Smooches Baby Birds

My bird was stamped onto white card stock and colored with Copic markers. After die-cutting, I perched him upon a stitched square frame, inserting a few die-cut branches behind him. I adore the sentiments in this set. So cute.
