It’s a New Release Blog Hop!

Published by Michele Boyer at 12:00 am under Just Sayin', My Designs, My Favorite Things

Hi everyone!  Welcome to the January BC Dzyns Blog Hop!  If you are just popping in here, you may want to start at the beginning with Kim’s blog.

The new BC Dzyns set, Heartbreaker, is available today, January 21st, along with a new Paper Doll Sentiments set.  I have a couple samples to share today using Heartbreaker…my favorite and not-so-favorite (or, according to my daughter, “hideous”…  Nice, huh?)

We Belong Together (or the Not-So-Favorite, a.k.a. “Hideous” one)

           WBT

I don’t think it’s THAT bad, do you?  I think I’d like it better if I’d done more (or something else) with the heart.

And my favorite, Coffee and Friends

    C&FBCD

I made this for my friend, Teri. We meet for coffee every couple of weeks or whenever we can fit it into our schedules.

In order to get the girl printed in reverse, I stamped the image, scanned it, flipped it in my photo editing program and printed onto white cardstock.  For the ponytail girl, I masked off part of her hair and then changed it a bit.

You may be wondering why the girl in green looks a little irritated.  Let me tell you why.  (I just happen to know.)  She and her friend were enjoying their coffees and a nice chat last week when a man came in and sat behind them.  The man went unnoticed until he started making that very disgusting sinus clearing noise.  You know the one I’m talking about, don’t you?  That literally makes me ill.  If I hear it once, fine. I still cringe, but I understand that sometimes people do that because they feel it’s the only way to clear things.  (UGH.)  But over and over and over and over…ICK!  I so badly wanted to turn around and say “DUDE! This is a restaurant!  People are trying to EAT in here!”    Just sayin’, if you have that much stuff going on, and you need to make that much noise taking care of it, please don’t do it in public.   Teri was laughing at me a bit, and we still had a nice visit, but it COULD have been better.  GAG!

Ok…I got sidetracked.  So for the card, I combined the new Heartbreaker set with Hot Stuff.  The girls and cups were colored with markers and raised on pop dots.C&FIS

I finished the inside too.

To see more samples using the new Heartbreaker and Paper Doll Sentiment sets, please continue on with the hop by visiting Michelle’s blog.   You might find a give-away along the way!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Your cards are both awesome! I love the “hideous” one too. LOL Your daughter is crazy! What did she not like? Out of the mouths of babes…

The coffe card is genius! I love what you did with that! As for the story… ICK! I KNOW what you are talking about and brave for not going with the “dude” option. :)

What’s so horrible? I think both cards look great. Actually, the way you’ve layered the patterned paper on the first card, it looks like it has extra dimensionality. And it’s a sweet card for Valentine’s Day.

  5. Michelle Giraudon 21 Jan 2009 at 7:23 am

Love the second card and the way you combined sets! Great job!

Too funny! I love the cards, and now I have that sound stuck in my head all over again(thanks a lot - lol!). That looks just like us - me with the ponytail and all. Thanks for the thought - they are just awesome! I love the colors too.

These are both fabulous (you need to check and see if your DD has a temperature or something, because she can’t be in her right mind if she thinks the first one is hideous. Tell her Auntie Carole said to get well soon! ;) )!!! I LOVED the first one the minute I laid eyes on it, but then I saw the second one and nearly fell out of my chair! You’re a genius. Now, excuse me whilst I go hock a loogie… LMAO! (I know I totally just made you gag — I’m mean that way! :) )

I really liked the first one…I was immediately impressed w/ it! But then I scrolled down and saw the second…and I LOVE that one…the hair-change, the expression=), and the great color combo…the DP is so bright and cheery, too.
Thanks! Always enjoy peeking in on your site. =)

The first one… NOT hideous at all! I love those bright colors! And the pair of girls on the second card is AMAZING! I can’t believe how different they look with just minor alterations… the ponytail, the little upturn on the smile, the SLEEVES instead of tank tops! I wish I could see things the way you do! That card is awesome! I’m so glad to have had the chance to “hop” with all of you this month!

  16. Kerry J.on 21 Jan 2009 at 10:59 am

OK, so apparently I have “hideous” taste LOL I was like OOOO right away when it loaded, the 2 kinds of DP made it have depth, it looks layered…

And the second card I cant type what I said, LOL, but TOTAL Genius I tell ya… The stamp, scan, flip, digi something or other is beyond me, perhaps my old school reversing stamp will work??? Better get that sucker REAL wet..

And I’m sorry about the snot sucker, of course the first thing aft you thought “Dude”… was well, he IS eating….. :)

OMG-me too! I could almost toss my cookies when I hear those disgusting noises! I don’t understand people who do that in public…and don’t cover their nose or mouth when they cough or sneeze…or when they just fart like it’s nobody’s business, yeah that happened at my salon last night. Dude-go outside!!!

Your card is fantastic btw! Thanks for the laugh!!!

  31. Rose Annon 23 Jan 2009 at 10:34 pm
