My Favorite Things Previews, Day 5

Hi everyone!  It’s hard to believe it’s Tuesday already.  We’ve had cook-outs/parties each day of the last long weekend, thankfully not here but I’ve hardly been home.  Now I’m in a big-time cleaning mode with lots of company coming in just four short days.  I have the perfect stamp about being “so far behind” but I don’t have time to use it!   (I will though.  It’s too funny not to!)

Anyway, today the My Favorite Things team is previewing two new Jolinne sets along with a mini-Who’s That Girl Bathtime set.

Friends are the Flowers of Life

For my card I used In My Garden.  The set comes along with the really sweet Jolinne image, six sentiments and two pots, one with a flower, one with a bird.

I pieced the little striped dress, coloring the remainder of the image with markers and the ground with pencils.

I made the tiny pinwheel to stick in the pot.   It was easy but the small size made it just a little tricky.  I cut a 5/8″ square from the dotted paper, cut in from each corner almost to the center and then folded in one side from each corner, holding down the points in the center with a mini-brad.  The stick is just a thin strip of cardstock inserted into a tiny slit on the edge of the plant with the other end tucked under the pinwheel.

I popped up the flower in the pot, placing a tiny red brad in the center of that as well.

On the inside, I stamped one of the pots, placing a mini brad in the center of the flower to carry over the design from the front.
