July MFTeasers, Day 3

I’m back today sharing more July previews with My Favorite ThingsToday the team is previewing five new Pure Innocence sets:  Aim High, Make a Splash, PI & The Pinwheel, Sweet Greetings and Water Lily

I think I had a lot on my mind when I made today’s card.  It’s “ok.”  (Kind of plain…REALLY plain.)

Glad Things Are Looking Up

Today I chose to use Aim High.   I stamped the girl onto cream cardstock, colored her, then cut her out and adhered over an image stamped onto the patterned paper (which is Cosmo Cricket’s Togetherness, one of my all-time favorites).

The girl’s dress and kite are paper-pieced, and instead of stamping the kite and string, I stamped only the kite and scribbled in my own string, stamping the little ties afterwards.

Since the trim and string were both white and a little bright for these papers, I colored them with an E50 Copic to give more of a vintage appearance.

I couldn’t find a way to incorporate a sentiment onto the front of my card so I stamped it on the inside.  Maybe that’s one reason the front looks so plain and empty to me…or maybe it just is. Ha!

Here are the details about the upcoming release:
