Knit Happens

Hi everyone.  I’m back today with a sketch sample for this week’s Wednesday Stamp Club with My Favorite Things.

This week I’ve used Knit Happens à la modes.  I’m especially interested in all things “knitty” lately as I recently finished my very first scarf!  Just in time for the winter we never had…  🙂

I pieced the girl’s top and colored the rest with markers.  I didn’t have quite the right shades of blue-green for her hat and leggings so after coloring with the closest match, I colored over with a warm gray marker.  The larger wooden button atop the biggest Pretty Posies Die-namics flower was also altered with a Copic.  The button was a lighter tan, but after coloring with the marker, it’s a better match… and the wood grain still shows through.

The sentiment was stamped onto one of the tabs from Mini Tabs Foursome Die-namics.

I added a sentiment to the inside as well as a bit of flourish from Finishing Flourishes.  Along the bottom (on the front as well) I placed a Little Open Scallop Strip.
