Happy Birthday, Dad

It’s time for another sketch with My Favorite Things!  I decided to take advantage of this week’s challenge to create a birthday card for my father-in-law.

I’ve used Big Greetings, First Place Award Ribbon (for the “dad”), Circle STAX, Fishtail Flag STAX and Stacking Stars Die-namics.

I needed the card to be fairly flat and easily “mail-able” so I didn’t use any doo-dads.  I only popped up the one star.

I finished the inside using another sentiment from the set, a leftover strip from the front patterned paper and the third star from Stacking Stars.  (The die cuts three at a time.)  DONE!  :)

You can find direct links to DT samples HERE on the MFT blog.  The info is also posted in the MFT Forum in SCS.  (Look for the most recent WSC thread numbered 70.)   And remember, if you upload your card to the SCS gallery using the keyword shown on the sketch, you will have the chance to win up to $20 in MFT money!  One winner is chosen at random each week.

Thanks for visiting!  Have a great day!  :)

  11. I believe in the “50-percent theory”. Half the time things are better than normal; the other half, they are worse. I believe life is a pendulum swing. It takes time and experience to understand what normal is, and that gives me the perspective to deal with the surprises of the future.
